minus the tannin and the "youngness" the Merlot I'm drinking right now reminds me of this wine your tasting right now, and at 1/4 the price I'm feeling pretty good!

Not a big fan of Cali cabs to be honest, way too astringent for me, but I have to say I've never had one that had enough time to age and open up. Hard to find older vintages in Qc.

The exact reason this works is that you took the snobbism (is that a word?) out of wine

Gary Vay-Ner-Chuk peeping out here for sure....! Great show!

Have had some pretty good Cali cabs. The best being a 1995 Diamond Creek Volcanic Hill. Probably the Single Greatest Wine I've Ever Had! 99p. You need to taste Diamond Creek once in your life, but don't buy and pour, it needs time. And can last... forever probably.

Egelhoff wines are always great! His Walton Label is a winner too. I have tasted many of the wines he's made. (Partridge, Phelan, d. Arthur. etc.) His own label is even better.

You are right on with your review. I barely made it past 2nd grade, but I do see the value in Bob's wines.

Glad I stumbled on to your website.

Have never really tried any California cult wines. Mainly scared off by the price and the amount of them out there. Never know which one of the twenty or so Cali cabs in the store for $75-100 is worth getting over any of the others.
