Great show i really liked how we start to see you get into your grove without being a bit to off track. Ive been interested in trying the wines from Kuleto and it was good to see you loved it. And it seemed like you liked big Cali cabs back then so that is a good thing in my book.

The cost of Napa Cabernet has come down in the past few years, and it gives a chance to further explore the region. There are some amazing Napa cabs out there for under $20.

back when Gary still loved Cabs....I thought too the Artemis was just ok when I had it, but recently had a 2000 Stag's Leap Cask 23 and it was awesome..of course it was their flagship wine. Have not tried Norton of Kuleto, was at Mondavi Winery a few yrs ago, great grounds and tasting rooms. www.winelx.com

Great episode Gary. I love when you do tastings like these and rate them at the end. It's surprising for me to see a wine like stag's leap artemis which is pretty well known, and the most expensive of the bunch, score they way it did. Especially in comparison to the rest. Would love to see a tasting on Napa's long forgotten, junkyard dog it seems, charbono. A grape which deserves a bit more exposure.

I live about an hour away from Napa Valley, it's really great. It's sort of like California's slice of Italy.

Gary,

I am with you on the Artemis, I bought it a while back and was very disappointed in the effort, no length whatsoever…kinda diluted actually; as to the nose,I think Welch grape juice has more bouquet.

I wish I had watched this episode before I spent the $30 something bones!
