Interesting show Gary, Chilean pinot's. Don;t think I've had one, I usually look for carmenere's when I buy Chilean wines. I'll have to check that out, thanks. Still seems under the radar now in '09, hopefully enough so that I can find it close to that bargain price still.
But thanks for bringing to my attention I wouldn't have thought to seek out before.
Keeping in that tradition, would love to see a tasting on charbono, or vin jaune's.

Hey GV - do you still back the statement that Chilean pinot is going to be huge? Good quick episode, and this wine is probably gone, but I will seek it out.

Looks like I need to seek out more Chilean PN. I have had some syrah and cab. sauv. that I have thought were pretty good (and some that I have thought were not). It would be interesting if you did an update to this show with some Chilean PN that is available today that you think shows how good this juice can be.

WL is out of the Agustinos '03 offering but it looks like they got in some '05. Here is the link..

http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=8728

I wonder what happened to the 'o4?

I couldn't find any reviews of this vintage online, (hey it's really young) but for 10 bucks it's worth trying a bottle or two. A tasting report on the '04 showed some 88-90 rated pinots for around 20 bucks. The article talked about non-traditional grape varieties for the region being used like Pinot Noir and Syrah. In stock as of 10-02-06. ..Time to catch the boat.
