Had some nebbiolos recently and I liked some but they were your basic Langhe at a reasonnable price, had a Barolo 2 days ago though and it was awfull especially for 50%, and it was a 2004 which is supposed to be great... My best experience with an italian wine was the 2008 Podere Sapaio Volpolo, I know its a super tuscan so not a real italian but it was exceptionnal and only 23$. I need to explore more italian wines but until I have that one bottle that captures my imagination, its not gonna happen. Shoot, then there was Negroamaro from Jaddico that didn't stink either. BTW - huge Jets fan here. My jersey is so old, it has #88 on it (no name) and it was for Al Toon.
