Great episode again Gary, I don’t think the importance of understanding the differences in vintages can be overstated. Just like when you reviewed the 98 Cask 23 and panned it, I had only had the 97 Cask 23 and it was fantastic. Would love to see more vintage oriented episodes. Also think its great that you are being as interactive as you are with your audience. With that being said, would love to see you do a tasting episode on the different charbono’s out there, and an episode on vin jaune’s would be great.

I love seeing how the signature sign off line was developed….that is cool.
I actually find that off-vintages are such huge bargains that I buy them frequently, especially from prioven terroirs in Bordeaux. IT’s great as they drink earlier which lets me save my 2000s, 1990s etc for special occasions. Great episode!

This was a FANTASTIC episode, on of the few I’ve missed and caught up on.

This episode is a great argument as to why you shouldn’t fall in love with ONE wine.

I know I’m late…howabout this:

WLTV…Where the scores of knowledge are more important than the scores of wine!
Or something like that.

First off, Wine Library TV is excellent! Count me in as your seventh viewer

I just wanted to mention that this episode was great, mostly because it proves that the vintage of the wine can far outshadow the age. Among the wine lovers I know, most will reach for an older wine before a newer one, regardless of how the vintage fared. This backs up my argument that older is not always better!

Gary, I’m catching up after returningand I had to comment here. I a gree completely but I feel as though you;re kind’a going against your comments from one of your earlier episodes where you said that buying off vointage could be a steal. Your’re right, it can be, but as I commented on that episode, whoi has the ability to pick thourhg a bad viontage to find the dianomd in the rough. I agree with this episode for us casual drinkers. Best to be safe with a solid vintage.

While on vacation I discovered a lovely family of wines that you need to sample. Guzman Aldazabal- I tried the Exaltacion and was BLOWN AWAY! Also, their crianza was very nice and modestly priced. Check’em out.
