Nice mix of wines, styles and prices. Great to be exposed to new and different choices!

    As for cartoons:
    1. Looney Tunes – absolutely zany
    2. Rocky and his friends (loved Peabody and Sherman & Fractured Fairy Tales)
    3. Batman, the Animated series – cool art work
    4. The Tick – offbeat to say the least

Great Show. Love WLTV. Been lurking for sometime. The best cartoon has to be anything Looney Tunes!

    Gary,
I echo Mark Z. Thanks for the 3 episodes in advance of your trip. WLTV becomes quite addicting.

    QOD:
    (1) Chris S nailed it. Bar none, the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour that used to run on Saturday mornings was the best cartoon show ever. Nothing better.
    (2) Smurphs. What a fun show that was for a kid
    (3) Hong Kong Fuey! (number one super guy)
    (4) Superfriends (wondertwin powers….. activate!)

Chris S… if you’re still out there. Please send your spreadsheet my way pbackman@nyc.rr.com. Thanks!

Does it have to be a TV cartoon? Print faves: Bloom County and Far Side.

    To all
I’m sitting here, minding my own business, sippin’ my Koura Bay Sauv Blanc (You were right, Gary. Soooo good) and my wine is being attacked by dive-bombing gnats! Is this a problem for anyone else? If so, what the heck do you do about it? What’s a little more organic matter, right?

Why can’t wine be shipped to Kentucky and will that ever change?

Chris, Thank You!! Your spreadsheet is way cool! How much time did you spend putting all that together? Looking forward to your next one. Thanks again.

Another great episode. I have been a lurker since your inception. No excuse for not posting really. In anycase, a quick question for you: how do you remember the wines you drank months ago in restaurants?

Enjoying the episode with the last glass of the Jumilla Panarroz (sp?) I opened last night. Maybe not a true diamond given the price and RP rating, but I enjoyed the wine. I have found some inexpensive Spanish reds that RP rated highly to be good, others not so good. Probably just as much as I agree with RP on wine of any other price point or any other region. Nice blueberry fruit with just enough tannin and structure to make you realize it is wine, not fruit juice. Not terribly complex, but if it was a $15 bottle, I would not be upset with my purchase. That is my “diamond” for you and the list.

QOD: I think Tom and Jerry was my favorite. I was also a Beavis and Butthead fan when they were on.

Looking forward to having you “back” tomorrow. Thanks for all you continue to do.

Have to go with Ren and Stimpy – the early years, and more recently Futurama and Family Guy.

Episode #74…Comment #43 is where I ask the question and there are a lot of answers after that.

Mike C…I asked a similiar question a few epsisodes back and there was a lot of great advice.

#1 piece of advice…Buy a bigger unit than you would expect. I originally bought a 54 unit and thought I would never fill it…then had to ask advice on 300 plus units.

#2 People might disagree with this one, but it’s worked for me. The stuff from Home Depot, and the less expensive models will work, but usually they are refrigeration units only. They do not usually have humidity to them. They will work if your just trying to keep wines cool for a short time 2-3 years MAX. If this is how long you like to store before drinking…then go for it.
If your becoming a serious collector, or need to protect a valuable bottle or two, I’d go for a more expensive, bigger unit, because you will be happier in the long run.

Great episode. We can always use more diamonds in the rough. Fav cartoon: Batman, the animated series. Keep up the great work, so I don’t have to.

    the professor and....

Micheal P. I’d have to agree with your cartoon choices EXCEPT Magoo. Hated that one, wanted to slap him, even as a kid. Also loved Scooby Doo and Couragous Cat and Minute Mouse.

Gary, loved the episode today. This is one of the reason why I watch, for the diamonds.

A way to for us viewers to smell the wines…that would be fab! Sadly, DigiScents tried but failed (see http://www.thestandard.com/article/0,1902,23654,00.html)

But,there may be hope (in 14 years):
