100 episodes x average of 5 minutes per episode, divided by 60 minutes in an hour = 8.33 hours per viewer. Gary, imagine the wealth of wine knowledge you have shared with the world through the program – AWESOME!

Thanks and keep up the great work!

You said the AKenwood had a “tough finish”. It was obviously infected by that silly Jets bandana on the bottle? After all, aren’t the Jets all about tough finishes? ;-)

TimF from Chicago, IL (suburbs). My favorite episode was the one with the Jets draft pick montage. That one made me laugh the most…

Gary — this episode was super! I L O V E D the corniness of first half . . . the guy walking by with a barrel on his head, the “igloo”, the jug-o-wine in the Order Dept, etc. You couldn’t get any more corny . . . and that is what made it so enjoyable. I laughed out loud several times. Thanks for the late morning fun!
Great choice on the wines too.
For QOD – I was going to say my favorite episode was still the “WL Tour” mostly because I love the humor of it all, but when I saw your ending to this episode, I changed my mind. The last minute and a half of this episode was so unexpected and creative that it just catapulted episode 100 to the top for me. Thanks for working so diligently to make WLTV so entertaining as well as educational!

Congrats on 100! Love the Jets draft pick episode. I hope you don’t pick wines like they pick first round players. I had hoped they would have won Sunday so half of my Survivor Pool would have been gone. Nice touch bringing your dad in since he brought you into the business. Great episode!! thanks for the extended tour of the store and the impromptu intros to your

My all-time favorite episode was the HEAT EPISODE
    …..

  59. October 4, 2006

    Matty Van, Rochester,NY

The heat episode….would have been better when it was hot outside, I guess it still is in much of the country. I think most of what would have been said I found elsewhere on the net….here is the link it answered every question I had and is very detailed

    http://www.organizes-it.com/winetips.php

  60. October 4, 2006

    Tony

Yeah, Gary, I’ve been cutting you some serious slack on the heat episode. It’s too late to just set a bottle on a window sill, so you need to find a warm room or something. I’m sure that WL has a furnace room or something where you can subject a bottle to heat. Even the heat lamps at your local Burger King would work. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

So take notice, I’m done cutting you slack on the heat episode. I’m back on the case.

I pity da fool who doesn’t do the heat episode.

  61. October 4, 2006

    Rich S

Congrats on episode 100 Gary. You know we all love WLTV and it is apparent you do as well. Keep up the good work and the Vayniacs of course will keep tuning in. My favorite episode to date was the wine and cheese pairing episode from only a few ago. Pairing episodes should definitely be a part of the next 100!! Also, you must do a few blind tastings as well. That would be very interesting.

By the way, that Snidely Whiplash ending was the corniest bit yet on WLTV………………….and I laughed my ass off anyway…………..

  62. October 4, 2006

    Mike S.

Think I needed to be drunk for this episode.

Favorite episode? Episode #18 on decanting and the 2004 Amon-Ra Shiraz. Although, a close second is definitely #94 and the 20004 Olson Ogden Unti Syrah. Man, those are great wines.

  63. October 4, 2006

    Tony S.

Hey great episode…as a fan of B-rate cheezy movies, I LOVED the bad acting! I want to say that my favorite episode is #78 “Bordeaux in Honor of a Dear Friend” because of you doing a special tasting while mourning the loss of a good friend, but I think even more importantly was the follow up episode, #79 which was celebrating the life of Steve Verlin with some great Champagne. That’s gotta be tops.

I think the villian was some guy from an old cartoon…I don’t remember the name though. Sorry about your Jets, but HEY–at least they covered the spread! So it wasn’t a complete loss. Alrighty, I look forward to Wine Library 101…”The return of the glass”.

See you later, and Go Bears!!
    T

PS: We’ll try and help out your Jets by giving Jauron’s Bills another notch in the loss column this Sunday.

    Al Diaz

My Favorite episode is this one. I have the same relationship with my DAD and it was awesome to see your Dad and you together and the obvious wonderful loving bond you both share and yes I kiss and hug my DAD all the time and I am alot older than you Gary. My next favorite was the wine and cheese episode. Hope to see both you and your dad for the 1000th episode of WLTV. GREAT JOB, regards, Al Diaz from Rome GA.

wow, very cleaver and well worth the wait! Love the way you include the people around you in your filming. Makes it more personal, we like that.
Favorite episode? Can’t beat the tour of “64″.

    BTW, dad’s quite the hottie…

Keep up the great work and keep us laughing….

  66. October 4, 2006

    Julius

Here’s a statistic I thought would interest some. Brandon M submitted more comments (56) in the “Another Look Back” non-episode than in any of the first 59 episode/non-episodes, and more than in a total of 72 of the 107 episode/non-episodes. Whew!!!

  67. October 4, 2006

    PattyO

Of the episodes you’ve actually DONE, my favorites are the ones where you throw out a totally fresh thought for us – and then back it up with a tasting example. #47 – Don’t judge a wine by its vintage – will be my pick because it’s a great example of what I love. Decanting episode is another example, because I’ve always just gone by Kevin Zraly’s advice that only collectibles benefit from decanting (purely because of the potential sediment). Before seeing that episode it had never occurred to me to do a side-by-side test. That was eye-opening! But I’m only allowed to pick one so it’ll be #47.

    Gary, congrats on 100!
Some of your employees need to go take an acting class or two… Anyway it was nice to see your dad on the show. I cant believe that someone beat me to it by calling him the Vaynerdad. I liked how you retasted the first wine from WLTV today as well as the wine you first sold. Nice way to mark #100. I look forward to the future episodes.

Favorite Episode…#81 for 2 reasons… 1) You brought up one of the questions I asked(and by the way am still waiting to see an episode about ~hint, hint~) and 2) because I haven’t had many aussie wines, which I need to start getting used too as I will be going there to work harvest in Mid-January. YAY!

Gary, Thanks!! 100 episodes! Love the fact that although the episodes have gotten better and you’ve developed you “style” during the last 100; you’ve done so without losing the grit and honesty that keeps it real. BTW, I’ve worked my way through the first 50 episodes of Vaynerisms. Whew! That’s a lot of wine tasting (not to mention spitting!). The interesting thing is that as Gary got more comfortable doing WLTV and began developing his own style, more and more Vaynerisms appear and they begin appear more often. I’ll post a list of Vaynerisms I’ve identified later tonight, but the Vaynerbrow is my current favorite (Gary tastes something unexpected or surprizing and his brows shoot up).

Gary, you can’t read any of the posts about Vaynerisms because I don’t want you to get self-conscious.

First of all, thank you and congratulations on 100 episodes.

As you walk out of your office, in between the bathrooms, I see one of Thomas Arvid’s works, “Reflections”. Excellent taste (I have the same piece in my office).

Nice to see your father. Your love for him, his pride in you are very obvious. Hugh- kudos on “VaynerDad”!

Alright Gary, I had a chance to watch the episode, finally, and I just have one thing to say . . . “You’re out of your freakin’ mind!”

    GET SOME HELP DUDE!

    GOL

Just like the Yanks (and unlike my White Sox this year) ep 100 lived up to the hype! Nice work all involved!

Hmm, the QOD seems familiar to me… my blog QOD in ep 99 was what is your favorite episode of WLTV from 1-99? I will repeat my answer of ep #69, The Big One. Purists ask “GOL, why is it your favorite?” To which I answer “because true Vayniacs don’t take themselves too seriously… those who appreciate the ep understand that it’s ‘just wine’… you think WS or RP would ever do a wine video like that?”

PattyO’s answer falls in the same category

I look forward to the upcoming episodes. Rotten luck vs Colts last Sunday. Favorite has to be #50, wines of Spain. Looking forward to their ‘04 vintages from the better producers, and have several of them sitting in your storeroom waiting for cooler weather here on Texas Gulf coast (near Houston).

Funny episode. Love seeing the the tour through the Wine Library and the people behind the scenes. Favorite episode #3, that is when we discovered Wine Library TV and have been silent fans every since. Albert and Remy, Pittsburgh,PA

Congrats on hitting 100. I’ve learned something new on almost every episode. However my favorite was Episode 50, Spain and Spanish wines. Really jump started my exploration of their 2004 vintage. Awesome! Can’t wait for their 2005!

Great way to mark #100, Gary! I don’t recall you ever introducing us to your Dad (that was him, right?), so that was a real treat!

Favorite episode? I forget the #, but by far, the one where you came on all fired up and ready to take on the wine industry. : )

And the villain? His name is clearly “Baron Jerr”. Or, possibly, “Ernest J. Gallo”!

  110. October 4, 2006

    McGeyver ;)

Congrats to Gary and all the WLTV staff!

My favorite ep is number 45. I went back and watched the episode so much, trying to pursuade myself to pick up the CdR Domaine La Garrigue. I had been so afraid of the alcohol content and its ruining my experience. I finally picked it up in late August. I decanted it and took a nap. When I awoke and tasted it I was amazed. This was my first true experience of terroir; I realized that I didn’t like only fruity wines but wines with more character and complexity of flavors. To me, the La Garrigue was the first 90pt wine I’d tried that really lived up to its rating. I have learned so much through WLTV and can really say that I am able to appreciate the experience of wine, good or bad. I really thank all the staff, the Vaynerchugs (I just made that one up; I dunno if a names already been given us), and of course Gary. Bottoms up.

    Love the orchids.

    Gary,

Congrats on the 100th episode. I’ve been lurking for the majority of them but decided to comment finally.
My favorite episode was #99. It’s good to see you give the real story on your true intentions with WLTV, and it really seemed to come from the heart. I really loved seeing you defend your honor. Keep in mind, though, that you should only tell people that you’re honest once. Anyone who tells you over and over how honest he is, is not.

Also, pretty amazing prediction of the Jets’ score (despite getting the winner wrong). Great job.

Francis from IA CITY – I like the IOWA shoutout!!! Jason from Bettendorf. Been a viewer since Ep 1.

Favorite Episode is the one where Gary bagged on me about the “Suddo” question of day, and then came back and asked my question!!! AWESOME…. My QOD that I threw out there for all the off days to fill in space “What is the last bottle of wine that you drank & comments” will live on!!

Tonight is Mid-Week Beaujolais day for me. Still enjoying the 2003’s that Duboeuf tries to give away for $7-12 bones (GREAT VALUE). I am just giving everyone a heads up BUY 2005 Beaujolais. As many as you can (they are cheap and deliver in great years like 2003 & 2005). They are the type you buy a couple cases of at a time!!!!

Gary is a Yankee fan, so I doubt he was at Shea.

I’ve got 4 tix to Game 1 of the NLCS if the METS can win the series. Me and my 3 boys (Ages: 17,15 & 12).

Very cool episode WLTV crew. This appears to no longer be a one man show.

QOD – My favorite episode was the episode with Raymond Vineyards. My first and I enjoyed the guest appearance. It added a interesting dynamic to the show. I am a Browns Fan living in Ledgewood, NJ. I can’t believe the number of Jets fans in Jersey and NY. Is anyone a Giants Fan?

  123. October 4, 2006

I’m a Met fan, but invite me to a Yankee playoff game or any game for that matter and I’m there. Didn’t know I would be excluded from the experience just for being fan of another team. Just like everyone at the Superbowl is a football fan.

Well I figure it’s time to come out of the darkness. I’ve been watching for a while and figured episode 100 would be a good time for a first post. My wife and I watch all of the time. Thanks Gary for the wine education and to the posters for keeping things interesting. I score the episode 100, classic WLTV humor. Favorite episode was #69 just because of the response of the viewers. I know that we all have busy lives but it’s always a pleasure to spend a few minutes each day with WLTV. Thanks and I look forward to another 100 episodes.

  126. October 4, 2006

    Gary,

Happy New Year, and congratulations on 100 episodes. It is kind of appropriate that you reached 100 at this time of year.

My favorite episode is #80. It was in that episode that you discovered (?) the Clos Mimi Petite Rousse and really really went off on the very frequent lack of relation between price and value in wine. I’ve purchased slightly more than a case of the Clos Mimi and love it (still want you to do Rosenblum Petite Sirah Heritage Clones…think people will flip on that one).

One other thing, maybe belongs in an email. The Supertasting is coming up…can Wine Library send out or post an advance .pdf copy of the directory so we can plan our strategy before we actually get to the Manor? Just wondering.

    All the best,

    David

    Woohoo! Way to go.

It reminds me of when I was a kid and one day I relaized that the GOOD porno films had plots.

MY favorite episode was the 2005 Bordeaux Futures – I would love to see an updated report since I picked up a few cases from you based on your tastings. Where am I from? Iron City, baby – you know, the current home of the Lombardi Trophy…

By far the best ending to WLTV (assuming you get your glass back). See you tomorrow! Same wine channel, same wine place, same wine time.

    SS Chris

Gary & WLTV staff, Sincere congratulations for a great Ep #100….it was great on many levels that have already been written about including: introducing VaynerPOP’S, highlighting WL staff, choosing meaningful wines along with the comedy.

If I had to pick one favorite, it would probably be Ep. #50 (Spanish Wines & Trip to SPAIN). This episode includes super video footage and a wonderful still-picture montage of Gary’s 12-day trip to Spanish Wineries that included 7 other WL employees!! Trip looked awesome and I was really impressed that Gary brought WL employees (I assume that he didn’t need to do this). Also, much fun to see Gary away from the desk and in his natural element. GREAT VIDEO…WATCH IT.

Finally, since I am “SS Chris”, I felt the need to do something “spreadsheety” as a tribute to WLTV. I used my spreadsheet prowess to run an analysis of the #’s of comments. Here’s a “fun fact to know and tell”:

    ~EPISODES 1-80: 2,229 comments (includes 5 non-numbered WLTV entries)
~EPISODES 80-100: 2,380 comment (includes 2 “look back” videos, and the 131 comments for Ep. 100)

I’m originally from Verona, NJ and now reside in Green Brook, NJ

All VAYNIACS unite….we are VAYNERNATION…we are VAYNERNATION!!!

    Gary, congrats on episode 100!

This episode was laugh-out-loud funny. My favorite part was was the lady pulling out the Carlo Rossi from her cube. Cheers to 100 more!

My favorite WLTV episode so far was probably #42, but its hard to choose.

Sorry about those Jets by the way :) , and don’t worry about PM, he always falls apart when it counts.

It was nice to see more of your crew, as I noticed a few faces that have helped me out in the store. The staff really does a great job!

QOD: Episode 74 – Viewer Appreciation

Gary – any chance we are going to see some Super Tasting clips on WLTV?

P.S. – we won’t agree on Football, but LET’S GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, the west coast of IA wants to know where Jason is getting all this kick-ass cru beaujolais.

And, there being so many flat-out fun episodes (Chinon? Vacqueyras? Swiss stuff I’ve never heard of? The Cheninathon? (oh wait … there hasn’t been one of those yet, has there), we’re going to punt and resort to the cliche answer … you have been warned!

QOD: as the best bottle is the one you haven’t tried yet, so must the best episode be: the NEXT one!

    Darby Beltran

I have a couple of suggestions for you Gary Vaynerchuck. First of all learn how to pronounce your own name correctly. Stop putting those ridiculous stresses on your name, it makes you sound like a jackass. You really need to chill out. Gilbert Godfrey called and he wants his personality back. Although you pretend to have an extensive knowledge of wine, you are just a hack…oh and one for the road…stop giving head to that damn bucket!

Congrats Gary. I’ve been a long time viewer and have enjoyed every episode, even on your less than enthusiastic days. My fav episode is #20 new versus old world wines. I’ve enjoyed both over the ears, but your commentary provided a new perspective on the “debate”.

Ah, a troll at #144 – this means you’ve made it on the ‘net, Gary. Great episode today, especially seeing you and your Dad interacting. Favorite? The epi with Tony Coturri, as I hadn’t heard of him before and opened my mind to organic wines not being eco babble swill. Congratulations on #100!

Congrats to you Gary and the rest of the WL staff for 100 great episodes. I agree with others, it was cool to see the “Dad” and few more of the WL staff.

Favorite overall episode is #46 because that is the episode that introduced me to the VaynerNation because you featured a winery I have spent many days at.

Been hard for me to comment lately – we are peaking with harvest up here. Whites are in thier tanks, Merlot pressed last weekend and this weekend we crush the Syrah, Malbec, and maybe some Cab (brix are close). Will press our Pinot as well – awesome year for the Pinot fruit! I hope to sleep in Nov…

I also want to acknowledge the passing of Henri Jayer. Henri helped make Pinot Noir what it is today with his techniques, was among the first to push low yield high-quality fruit, and bio-farming.

congrats on 100! I’m on business in Tokyo so I lost track of the days and realized I needed to check WLTV for this episode. Nice touch to include your father – and I’m not surprised, you are obviously close and he is obviously proud.

    Best episode: 64
    I’m from Brooklyn, NY.
Bought my tickets for the wine spectacular next week and convinced two friends to join me. I look forward to getting home – though the Guigal Rhone I had on the flight over would have rated a Vaynerpass. I hope they have something different for the return.

Looking forward to 101 – will it actually happen?

    Gary,

Favorite episode: #59. I’m convinced it’s the most “balls to the wall” episode you’ve ever done. You delivered an apology with a pricelessly ironic smile, and you ended by chugging Carlo Rossi. For me, that episode represents the culmination of a transitional period in your approach to WLTV. I’ve been watching since ep. 38, but number 59 is the one that hooked me. Congratulations on number 100!

    Gary,
The episode # 54 was my favorite. I was very tempted to say # 96 probably because I loved the beginning.

And, we need more of that.
    And, give us more entertainment.
And, I would like to see interviews with your customers.
And, I am sure that you have interesting people regularly in the store.

To answer McGeyver, comment 116, RP defines backward as:

An adjective used to describe (1) a young largely unevolved, closed, and undrinkable wine, (2) a wine that is not ready to drink, or (3) a wine that simply refuses to release its charms and personality.

VAYNERNATION, Here’s an update to my SS Analysis of the huge increase in #’s of “comments” on WLTV. “Susan” replies, “No, I am sure that SS Chris killed Gary with the Revolver in the Kitchen!” (comment #202)

Somehow, I’ve gone from slightly obsessed, overly-organized SS-guy to OJ. This is an outrage!! J

Gary…great way to cap 100 episodes! It was entertaining from start to Mr. T finish.

Favorite episode??? It has to be Episode 99. You spoke from your heart about what you’re about, why you do what you do and showed the true character that keeps us coming here every day.

I raise my glass to your effort and commitment. CHEERS!

Congradulations on 100. Having your Dad show up was a very classy touch. Been lurking for a very long time; favorite #47. Really surprised to see geographic diversity of people commenting. Lose perspective of how widely WLTV is seen. The lurkers in our office don’t think too much about this since we can drive over in about 20 minutes and usually pick up a “taster” and go back and review an earlier episode.

Hi Gary — Congrats on making it to 100! Looking forward to the next 100. Favorite episode: #99 as it exposed some of the biggest names in the wine business. Wine is definitely something where bigger is often not better…

GOL – I think that you need to keep your mind open on this one. I think that most of it is PISS too in bad years and that it would only be worth 3-5 bones, but in GREAT YEARS like 2003 & 2005, quality goes up and price stays the same!!! I wish this was the same in Bordeaux. I would love to give 2002 prices for 2005’s!!! BTW – They are not BLOCKBUSTER over the top AUSSIE’s, but there is good fruit, floral, and a great go to for mid-week for me.

Jason R, I will take your advice and keep my mind open… as GV says we can’t generalize and say there are good or bad wines/vintages/producers, only good or bad bottles (but i couldn’t resist teeing off!)

On that theme, I recently had the ‘03 Franciscan cab.. like GV I was a fan of the ‘02 and like GV i was disappointed that the ‘03 didn’t do it for me

Hilarious episode, Gary. I was laughing all the way through. Thanks so much for providing this fun and interesting forum for all of us to enjoy. Favorite episode is #100. I certainly hope you get your glass back. I think the villain was your evil twin Snidely Darth Vaynerchuk. You will need some help from Mr. T, Carrie Fisher, and Rocky the flying squirrel to get back on track. All the best, Jim

  197. October 5, 2006

A vote for “monitoring” the comment chat – stuff like #144 serves nobody. Nasty, vulgar trash-talk has PLENTY of airspace all over this culture of ours. Those who like it and want to communicate that way have their pick of stuff to watch, listen to and talk about. I think WLTV chat is not there (Gary got a bunch of flack for his episode with all the GDs – good thing!) and ought to safeguard against going there. It’s censor-time.

    GV –

My favorite episode is any on which you’re so disgusted by the wine you just tasted that words fail you. Just a silent pour into the bucket, a s-eating grin, and move on.

And I have to agree that the Jets draft history episode was probably one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

    Well Gary,
You must already know that I love corn!
After all I was born in Indiana – so yes, I love the corn at the beginning of this episode.
I really loved the guy with the bucket on his head and the IGLOO guy! Very cool!!
I always like to see pics of the rest of the building since I can’t get up to Jersey just yet.
    Thanks!

Rick E (Cmnt #200), I know exactly what you’re referring to…i call it the VaynerINSTA-POUR,

Susan (Cmnt #201), Isn’t the BIGGEST reason that Ep #95 is your favorite because that’s the episode that Gary mentions meeting ME for the first time. LOL :-)

  204. October 5, 2006

    Dan

    Gary V!

I was in the Big Easy and had to miss this when it came out – so i am just watching today.

    Great stuff, great stuff.

I am not sure which episode I would say is my favorite. I think it is the one (I coudl never find it when I went looking earlier) when you said that “There are no great wines, only great bottles”. It was obvious early in WLTV’s history that this was a different sort of wine review. That phrase sort of captured it all for me.

Here’s to another 100, if that condom headed guy doesn’t destroy your glass.

    Cheers!

how about VaynerPASS as a Vaynerisms…”no hunnie were not ordering that wine it was a VaynerPASS on WLTV

  214. October 5, 2006

    SS Chris

Sean M and Tony, The VaynerCHUCK was one of the very first ones. If you remember back on, I think Ep #63, is where Gary mentioned the “HILL-ARIOUS” links to the VaynerNOD and the VaynerCHUCK which wereset up by Brandon M. These were the first two. The VaynerNOD was when GV nodded in approval leading to his recommendation of that wine. The VaynerCHUCK was a generic term for when Gary passed…it normally involved a VaynerSHAKE (shaking his head in disapproval before the spit).

As time has gone on, there have been many more different VaynerISM’s that now lead up to the ultimate VaynerCHUCK. The VaynerSHAKE, VaynerCLANK, VaynerSCOWL would all fit into that sub-category and the VaynerInstaPour would fit in as well.

I think I’m correct on this VaynerHISTORY. Does this clarify?

  215. October 5, 2006

    SS Chris

Matty Van, I’ve been using the VaynerPASS already (I like that one better than the initial VaynerCHUCK).

Initially, my SS only showed the VaynerNODDED (recommended wines)as that was all that I cared about. When the WEB SS was launched on Ep #97, Gary announced that we would be adding ALL wines to the SS. Starting w/ #97, I started adding all wines. For the wines that Gary passed on, I wanted to make it easy for all VAYNIACS to identify. So, I put a “VaynerPASS” as the first word in the “TASTING NOTES” section. Go to the SS and look at the 2 VaynerPASSED wines!! :-)

  216. October 5, 2006

    SS Chris

VaynerPASS also on the SS for the Kenwood Chard from Ep #100

  217. October 5, 2006

    Tony

As I understand it, a Vaynerchuck has two meanings: one a wine Gary has passed on, and two (a more specific definition), an action where gary tastes a wine and then dumps without comment.

In order to avoid confusion, I can change the name of the Vaynerchuck (2) to something else, but I personally don’t like “instapour”.

  218. October 5, 2006

    Vinacull

Congrats to you Gary and the WLTV crew for the one dubba zero. The igloo part cracked me up, but the guy should have been holding a Ting instead of a Coke. ;-) Special nods to Jim in the wine room and to Michelle at the end of the clip who handed you the Verite. She always seems to be the one who rings me up when I’m buying at WL. QOTD: Since you’re forcing a single choice only, I have to say number 18 on decanting because it really has changed the wine drinking ritual for me – and I suspect for many others as well. If it had not gotten such a huge number of hits on the internet, who knows when I would have come around as a WLTV Vayniac. Thanks for bringing in the Iron Sheik and the other figures. I look forward to seeing them put the glass burglar in a sleeper hold.

    Congrats!!!

You responded to only only one comment of mine but it was the most important……are you a family type of guy?? Your 100 episode answered that…. as you said it would. The funny thing is I never thought you would include a little of my own professional occupation. [I am a partner in a surveillance and investigative firm]

Best episode?? I think I am going to go with 48? Meet the Meekers….something about a dis-functional couple becoming wine makers and walking off in the sunset. Seriously it seemed very real and down to earth. It appealed a little to the beginning to the established cork dorks.

  220. October 5, 2006

    SS Chris

Tony, thanks for your clarification which I think is correct. So, the VaynerChuck means exactly the same as the instapour…so lose the instapour and just use the Chuck (by the way I love those). Ant the VaynerPASS will be the general idea that Gary has passed on the wine. thanks

Fav ep is Tony Coturri. I’ve been a Coturri wine lover for the past couple years ever since attending a spring tasting Tony had at his place on Sonoma Mountain. Fantastic unusual wines. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada but travel for work to San Fran a few times a year. Each trip I make it a point to stay over Fri night and fly on Sat so I can go to Tony’s on the Fri night to taste, talk and buy his wine. One of the few business trips I look forward to. Great ep with Tony.

    Congradulations on #100 Gary!

Also congradulations on changing my point of view about how a son of an owner in a family owned business can actually be a great thing – I used to work for a family where the son was the antithesis of everything you represent. You are extremely refreshing!

Looking forward to your 10,000 episode where instead of spitting , you can just empty your catheter into the Jet’s spit bucket. lol, just kidding, although gives me a new pun for the vin jaune episode I’m waiting for. {not to mention the charbono tasting episode.}
    Seriously Gary, congrats, glad I’ll at least get to see the 1000 live. Plus who knows, maybe by then you’ll have done a vin jaune and a charbono tasting episode, and I can move on to requesting an episode on Madeira’s. {I got lots more ideas, but 1 or 2 at a time.}
