    Good idea!

You could copy and paste from Chris’s SS the row of the wine purchased into Word then format as required.

Thanks for the code. I hope it works when I order, which should be much later tonight.

Something very strange happened with this episode in iTunes. I’ve never had a problem with an episode before, but this one won’t play. I watched the episode online instead, but it’s a bummer not having the episode on file. (I like to archive them) Is it no longer available because of the code perhaps?

Off the top of my head, the last five wines I’ve really enjoyed have been Eaglepoint Ranch Syrah 2001, Guenoc Cabernet, Bogle Petite Sirah 2003, Rosso Shiraz, and Twenty Rows Cabernet

Question for you other Vaniacs -
Do any of you know a way that I can create a page that would show all the tasting notes for the bottles I just ordered?? I like to tape a copy to the bottle so I have the purchase price and tasting notes when I pull the bottle to drink and I don’t want to have to go back to each wine’s individual page and print each one separately.

    Favorite number – 2017!
That was a fantastic gift Gary! My only challenge was paring down my cart to 2 cases because even though shipping’s free, I still have to pay for the wine.
Free shipping, no sales tax and 20% – 50% bottle discount (check out Frankland Estate Olmos Reward $20.90, retail $39 I think – 91 pts. RP) – but the best part was the WINE LIBRARY – I don’t have access to this kind of inventory anywhere in my state!
    Favorite recent 5:
Two Hands Yesterday’s Hero – 2005 Barossa Grenache
    M Brown Shiraz – 2000 Barossa
Vouvray Blanc de Blancs – Monmousseau – 2004
MontGras Reserva Merlot – 2004 Chile
    Clay Station – Cab/Petite Sirah – Lodi – 2001
Thanks again Gary! And thanks for the clue-in on a great value Chianti today!

Gary, I laughed out loud when the code flashed on the screen for a half second and then disappeared for a couple of minutes. I bet people were frantically trying to pause their players on those couple of frames. Hilarious!

I swear, Gary, I’m going to start a wine vlog, but the episode I taped last night put ME to sleep. ZZzzzzz… It ain’t as easy as you make it look. Props to you, man.

    #1 …congrats Gary … you deserve a big win(e):-) … you made me a Jets fan!

#2 OK … 5 last wines that I loved … 2001 Eppalock Ridge Shiraz, Bodegas Arrocal (not a great bottle but a great value), Chateau Flaugergues 2003..really enjoyed, Inniskillin Riesling ice wine ..1998…absolutely wonderful .. dark brown almost like maple syrup…but the complexity in the taste outstanding, and for the proximity .. a Stepping Stone White from Greenville Winery in Portsmough, RI… Vidal and Catawba…really pleasant little number:-)

#3 ..Wine that I really was disappointed and then head over heals about… 1997 St. Henri’s Shiraz… first had at Christmas in 2000…just didn’t live up to expectation… but then in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004.. absolutely the opposite… heaven to drink … just dismayed … ran out!

#4 … Where is the best place to buy wine?????? C’mon … Winelibrary!!@!!!

  15. October 16, 2006

    Dominus

First, congrats to the Jets and thanks for the free shipping! Sure does help when you get wines on sale and then have them shipped to your office for free! I just order my mixed case of some of your recommendations.

Ok, last 4 bottles of wine that I found memorable. The first two I enjoyed at a dinner in DC (Charlie Palmer’s) with a wine friend of mine and the last two just recently during our vacation week at a couple of nice OBX restaurants.

‘88 Dominus (this is my Clio)
    ‘85 Opus One
    ‘04 Joseph Drouhin “Vero” Bourgougne
‘03 Ridge Lytton Springs Zin or the Turley Zin (both are great)

And favorite number? It has to be #5 . . . Brooks Robinson, my childhood hero.

Again, thank you and looking forward to more Jets and COLTS victories!

    Cheers!
    Dom

Good show guy! The Jets got lucky, but hey you’re 3-3 and we’re 1-5. Absolutely horrible my team is. However that being said we’re gonna run the table the rest of the season and win the division. I wish! Anyways… My 4 best wines of late are pretty much all from Spain.
    1. Clio 2003…. Had it last night and OH MY GOD!! The best most complete wine I’ve ever tasted.
    2. Bodegas Arrocal 2004
    3. Altos de Luzon 2004
    4. Braut & Sistra 2002 Sonoma Cab

Thanks for the free shipping even though my team had to lose to the Jets to get it.

Another great episode, and thank you so much for the free shipping! I can’t wait until you see the run on bottles featured on WLTV, and wanted to get my order in before the all sell out! Two cases, you saved me $60!

    Gary,

Did you just give a wine 88 PTS and call it a pass? That’s a pretty high score for a pass. Are you not recommending based on the price vs. quality?

I totally get your clouds and unicorns reference. That’s what wine is all about. Sometimes it just hits home and it leaves you gaga. I’ve been there.

    Top 5 wines that impressed:

    5) Twenty Rows 2004 Cabernet is right up there with the 2003. The consistency and quality for $15 from this winery is astounding.

    4) Stefano Farina Barolo 2001 – wow! The leather flavors on this one blew me away. Very pronounced. And the aromas where so seductive I think I smelled the glass the whole night like some kind of haze induced drug addict.

    3) Vergelegen Merlot 2001 – as someone who doesn’t eat meat, I can’t rave enough about the astounding bacon fat, smoked pork and wood on this one. Monster flavors.

    2) Cortes De Cima Incognito 2002 – I’m such a huge fan of Portuguese reds and Cortes de Cima entire portfolio of wines are excellent. This one in particular is really saturated and intense. I adored it.

    1) Luce Della Vite Lucente 2001 – Huge, rich wine that will stain your teeth. Drinks beautifully now and for around $22 it is a steal. Sangiovese at its best in this Tuscan delight.
