here’s a link to an NPR story interviewing Michael Lewis about the book, and a short excerpt.

There was a lengthy take from the book in the NY Times Magazine 2 weeks or so. A real good read.

    The Blind Side….

The reclusive son of a drug-addled single mom suddenly becomes one of the most valued football prospects in America. How? A year before the scouts came calling, Michael Oher had virtually no formal education, no social skills, and no athletic experience. In The Blind Side, Michael Lewis investigates changes in the pro game that turned a formerly anonymous position, offensive left tackle, into the NFL’s second highest paid job. Among the beneficiaries, he discovers Big Mike. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry — really: On the outskirts of Memphis, Lewis unearths a fascinating story of compassion, commitment, and life-altering second chances.

    Brandon M-
Thanks for answering the book question.
Anyone know what that book is about?
You say you are making black shirts! Very cool!!!!!!!
Please tell me how to get one…………………………………………………………

The first run is probably gonna be black with white lettering. Cheaper, and it stands out. We may do a white with one color run as well…maybe purple…not sure.

OK Gary – that was a good one! I should have noticed at the front end that the 3 bottles weren’t opened – and we KNOW you’d have decanted wines like those if you were going to indulge!

Can’t climb that price ladder to reach your Torbreck – though I REALLY want to after seeing today’s episode!

QOD – M Brown 2000 Shiraz – Barossa (I listed it yesterday as one of my top 5)

A wine storage pass-along (for non-refrigerator storage) – I purchased a “space saver” rack that is great and was quite a bit less expensive than other options. A 120 bottle unit is $100 and is only 58″ by 32″ by 12″ (or so). The design acommodates 2 rows of bottles per row. Anyhow, if you’re interested you can see them (they come in many sizes) at http://www.winerackstore.com

Susan…all the email was for was to check and see if everyone who voted had a legitimate email adress. I’m gonna give it a day, post the final vote tally to http://www.vaynervote.com and then start working on designs.

Based on your recomendation Gary. My wife and I tried a Penfold’s Koonunga Shiraz 2003 and really liked it. We tried a Penfold’s Bin 128 Shiraz 2002. We liked this too but we liked the Koonunga 2003 better.
