Favourite Australian Shiraz - not the Barossa Valley wines for me, but rather shiraz from the cool climate regions of my native Victoria - esp Heathcote, Great Western, Bendigo, Sunbury and Yarra Valley.

Jasper Hill, Seppelts St Peters Shiraz, Bests Bin 0 and Thompson Family, Craiglee. I've been a 20 year fan of Jasper Hill and Craiglee.. I could also throw in Warramate and Paringa Estate too.

Cool climate Victorian Shiraz is more reminescent of the Northern Rhone (OK, Jasper Hill 's Georgia's Paddock is unusual).

BTW, the video for episode 109 appears to be corrupted. I'd be really interested to see the tastings of the remaining 3 wines (after the Torbreck) so if it is possible to fix it....

Thanks for the great site. I can't believe I haven't discovered this until now. What a hoot!

cheers, Mike
