Well me and some friends went to a century ride (100 mile bike ride) in Claxton GA…That’s right the Fruit Cake Capital of the World…and after the ride we went to a really crappy buffet…The one and only girl that was with us was walking down the trough and I was right behind her…as she reached for the corn bread I said “Man those are some mighty hot tongs!”…Everyone thought I was talking to her…and the name stuck.
Now we call her Hot Tongs and Mon (the French way) because her real name is Cherie.

For episode 200 I expect to see Gary use port tongs to open a bottle and for 300 I’d like to see him try his hand at sabering a bottle of Champagne.

    Lurker:

Favorite estate bottled, estate grown Champagne – Jean Laurent. The Blanc de Blancs is incredible! And the vintage Champagnes are utterly amazing, if you can find them…

Its great to see you on WineLibrary TV now, since I no longer live near NJ.

I have seen them used (Port Tongs) and made some informal ones (that did not work) but do not own any REAL Port Tongs.
