    Andre: see episode 59!

(Still waiting for WLTV to break the Cahors barrier though. Maybe late at night on WLTV2?)

Anyway, here’s to Curtis and Tiki going out together and opening up a nice restaurant or something.

HEy Denise….a soccor fan are we.. Diego Maradona played for one of my teams, Napoli. He is a legend to the Napoli team, probably the greatest player to play for Napoli. Roma is my other team. Roma in series A and Napoli in series 2….Denise, I am impressed

I had trouble sleeping after my nascar aspirations were dashed when my hero, Goggles Paisano retired.

Oh, by the way Gary…very classy move giving free shipping to the top 3 guys. Nice!

Question…back during baseball season….you guys were advertising on 880 AM during Yankee games…you were offering a free shipping code. Did you get more orders from your Yankee ads or from the free shipping you gave out when the Jets beat Miami? Just wondering.

Gary thanks for your generosity. And to all my friends!

    Congrats to Stallion & TampaSteve.

QOD: Dennis Byrd. Wasn’t your traditional retirement. He suffered that horrific injury.

    Gary,
Out with the Old in with the new- Is he the last of the Fink Parcells boys on the Jets? If so maybe that will finally rid the Jets of the Demons- What was Belichecks record as Jets Head coach- Never mind even he retired after 1 day

    Gary,
Great episode! Can’t wait to try the Vinoce. We were sorry to hear the news on Curtis Martin. As you know, he is a Pittsburgh success story, being from the Burgh. So in his honor, how about some free shipping for all the Vayniacs in Pittsburgh?

I cant stay quiet anymore. The Browns beat the Jets. The Buckeyes are number 1. I am happy and I have 14 cases from WL. I’ve been on board for awhile, I love the recommendations. Even though I occasionally disagree with Gary, I highly regard his opinion and his help. Well I said it, now I can go back to Lurking and Tasting.

Clint Black…AWESOME that your wife bought that guitar wine rack! I was tempted when I was at WL, but I spent the money on wine instead!

Gary, an absolutely amazing episode AGAIN. Your energy and enthusiasm are paled only by your sincerity. Thanks!!! (…and thanks for answering my question!!)

QOD: Diego Maradona…he had an amazing spirit for the game; and Pele…well, because he was Pele.

    Hey Y’all,
Anyone else not able to get on the site yesterday; I mean at all. I couldn’t even read the terroir blog. I demand reparations for my having missed the contest; my internet worked just fine and I tried other terminals around campus. What’s the deal?

Anywho…Gary you oughta do a Malbec episode! I bought my first Argentine bottle recently and cannot stop thinking about it. I thought that it was young, but that could have been due to my only letting it breathe for about an hour ( or the huge fight my gf and I had that night.) Go figure. I keep wondering what it would be like decanted or even after a few years; it cost me a good 18 bucks here in the city. Would’ve probably cost me much less buying from your store, but I have no choice. I’m impatient and hardly have any dough so I’m like a fiend when I can afford a bottle of the stuff.

    I guess I’m ranting. See y’all lata.

    Holla back.

P.s. I am trying to figure out my avatar and so haven’t…wow I’ve got it…I think. See y’all on the boards!

The Star Wars figurines are next to the ‘53 Lafite

Dayum, I was born in 1953 as well… so I’m old enough to be your Dad!!!!!?? QOD- Archie Manning – the guy was very talented and stuck on arguably the worst managed/owned professional sports team: Da Saints. I’m glad they are off to a good start, but they’ll fold. Archie could have outplayed both sons; sad he never had the support and got beaten up for trying.

    Gary,

So glad to see you back and hyped! Awesome energy and episode. After sitting through the rerun ep yesterday, I was feeling down.

    Questions:

What were those two Star Wars figures? Do you remember which ones they were? And do you still have them or did you keep them in their package so you could flip them for a huge profit? ;)

Has there ever been a wine you wanted to secure for WL that you were unable to acquire an allotment of?

I cried when Tiki Barber retired, err, umm, ….
Actually, when Brett Farve, uh, hold on.
Rocky Balboa, yeah, when the last Rocky movie, or next to last, or …
How ’bout Morten Anderson. Definitely. The Great Dane. That guy could, um, I mean can still-
Maybe, thinking back, when Herschel Walker retired, I mean, “left” Georgia for the USFL- wait, he wanted to return, but talked with an agent, so…
    Nevermind.

Gary…shopped in the store the other day with my wife…and she bought the guitar wine rack…how many of them have you sold…UGGH!…another great episode…actually watched 4 in a row…shows must be good since I’m border line ADD and hung in there…

Wow! I had this feeling I was old enough to be your father, and it’s true. Is your dad retired already in the flower of his youth?

Most devasted by #7 retiring. Cried for 3 years. He was God in NY. So big, I don’t even have to say his name,

WOW…Gary, that was extrememly generous of you to give us three the free shipping. Thank you very much.

QOD: I was probably most saddened when (there are two….in order)

    1) Paul O’neill retiring from the Yanks….watching his final game still brings tears to my eyes
    2) Mike Richter retiring from the Rangers

  25. November 2, 2006

QOD: Walter “Sweetness” Payton, RIP #34 [Can you believe it's been 7 years since he died?]
