I was shocked that Barry Sanders retired. He would have easily broken the all time rushing record. Which is shocking that he would have done it on a horrible Lions team.

Never had this wine but Mt Veeder area puts out serious grapes. QOTD-no body that retired has had any big effect on me that I can think of. www.winelx.com

qotd: there are many whether sports or whatever. Usually the retirement is due to their age. So to leave early, and unexpectedly, and at the top of your game, holds the biggest impact on me. I'm talking retirement though, not death or being forced to, just voluntary. So for me, it would be Bill Watterson. He was author of Calvin and Hobbes. The strip only ran 10 years. I'm not a comic strip guy really, but he was in a league all his own.
With that in mind, before you retire from WLTV Gary, how about giving us a vin jaune episode, and 1 on tasting the few (13-18) California charbono's out there?

Just ordered from free.winelibary.com. Cabernet Franc (one of my favorite grapes right now along w/ Mourvedre), $34, free shipping, I couldn't resist! The one thing I've observed though is sometimes a $40 california cab franc tastes to me like a $15 Bourgeuil. Thoughts?

Gary..I forgot to say props for talking about Curtis Martin. He quietly became the 4th greatest rusher of all time. He definitely deserves more love.
