    To Quote Karl; (posted yesterday)
Drowned smurfs and cork tossing: is this indicative of too many wine tastings today? Sometimes credibility suffers when dignity declines. Energy is best when it appears to be in control.

I love WLTV as much as everyone else but I think your last 2 episodes are going in the wrong direction my friend. I agree that wine should be ‘fun’ and not intimidating but since when is your target audience 15 and 16 year olds???

    QOTD: I never cared.

In addition, I think Karl Satirev needs to take the stick out of his ass.

Crazy Gary is my favorite Gary!

It’s good to be back. Awesome show GV! Do you have any speaking roles for your staff? And were are the credits –

Guy walking aimlessly – John Doe
Hand behind couch – Jane Doe

    GV,

Cool episode. The couch was a nice touch. I also listed to you on Martha Stewart’s radio show. So did you meet her? Is she cool or a stiff?

BTW what the heck is cream de-cassis?

QOTD I probably stopped caring what others think of me my first semester in college.

Wow, I’m mentioned on WLTV! You made my day, Gary. Thanks for the WWE history lesson. I thought Hogan looked a little like Ned Beatty there for a minute.

That looked like fun today. Even the well-timed reminder about ‘wine is meant to be fun’ was comfortably delivered. It helps to know you are looking in on the forum, because I’m betting even those who say they don’t care what others think would prefer to have you approve of their forum manners.

    GV-
Awesome episode. Keep changing things up, that’s what makes the show great! And please keep answering our questions. Now I have one for you…were you in the studio with Martha today or was it by phone? If you were in the studio, is she a babe in person?

    Gary-
Love the scene change! Love this episode!
    :) :):)
Love the couch! Love the energy!
I agree – wine is fun and should always be FUN!
Was the guy who did the spit bucket the same guy as the bathroom guy?
What year did you move to the United States?
    Just curious.
    Very funny and creative episode.
Please do more ‘on the couch’ episodes
where we can see some scene changes.
    Keep up the great work!
    QOD:
When I was a Freshman in High School – 15 years old, I stopped trying to impress others.
    Glad to see
    WLTV
    in Wine Spectator!

Screw Karl S. What the hell dude? I think someone else needs to remove the stick.

Stopped caring in 11th grade. Thought I’d stopped after 8th, but high school was a rude awakening.

I don’t know guys, I think I have reached the point in my life where I can honestly say I don’t really care what other people think of me. The only exception to this would be my family, I always will and feel I have to care what my family thinks of me. However I am 43 now and I don’t think this occurred until just the last few years.

    Gary,

Don’t we all still care? Just a little? Maybe not.

    Thanks for the fun! jp

I can see that Brooklyn..good answer.
I was thinking more along the lines of, I can’t wear that shirt cause so and so doesn’t like it, childish kind of stuff.

    Gary,

thanks for my call out and bringing questions back! Speaking of which, what is the best drinking order for Cab and Pinot…..which one first over a multi wine dinner?

Awesome ep Gary. Keep ‘em coming.

QOD: To be honest, I don’t think I ever stop caring what respected people think of me. If I care for or respect someone, I never like letting them down.

    QOD: 11th Grade

Dude…I don’t know how you do it but it just keeps getting better and better and better and better. After the great thread on the forum, you go and bring it on the show. The Pillar Box is awesome, everyone should try it. Then the toilet flushes and I start ROLLIN…..then everything continues to go “Dress Down Friday” and I loved EVERY bit of it. The color of the couch and the contrast on the wall made the HD Video look SPECTACULAR…when you help the glass up to the camera I reached out and tried to grab it from you!

Just one thing: Wine is only not serious when your not so serious about wine!

You da man…my signature video is on the way soon!

Gary, glad i got to talk to you on the radio show. My wife was envious as she loves Martha. I probably quit caring what other people said when I was in 12th grade. Have a great weekend.

    Gary,

I think that Pillar Box Red gets better on Day 2. You should do a 2 part episode to see how some wines change after a day or two. That would be pretty cool. BTW, that Chateau Bianca Oregon Pinot was a pretty decent everday pinot for $13. Anymore coming in?

    QOD: 9th grade

  24. December 1, 2006

    Dan C.

Gary- The ‘04 Pillar Box was also a very good $8 wine. I went through about 4 cases. Fun to drink, to give away, take to parties. Thanks for the episode. Wine is fun.

When are you going to throw left-handed at the camera?

QOD- Probably 11th grade, which is so long ago it’s hard to be sure

  25. December 1, 2006

    Steve B

I pimped the Pillar Red on the WLTV Forums a few times. And on WLTV Episode #123 as my favorite $10 wine.
