   Totally agree about the chocolate in the Eraldo Viberti Barolo. In fact I’ll sum it up in one word “Bosco” for those of you old enough to remember!

   I will keep Larry Londer and all at his winery in mind when I next order some CA wines.

    I have to write this story because I feel it is important for people to know what a lot of CA wine makers are like.

    In the middle of a house re-model I had a six pack of wine stolen. There were three (3) 2003 Londer Alexander and (3) 2003 Siduri Gary’s Vineyard.
    I don’t know who stole it and don’t really want to speculate, but I was pretty upset about it. Most here know me and I would have GIVEN a bottle to someone if they so wanted and if they would have just asked.

    Upset that I couldn’t replace them I called Londer and Larry Londer picks up the phone. I chat with him about my situation and he talks to me as if his own wine was stolen. He was upset for me and, just like me, couldn’t understand the rationale behind it.
    Larry then proceeds to tell me that he has very few ‘03 bottles left but would gladly break up a case to replace my three.

    I ended up purchasing a case of mixed other stuff just because he took care of me. I don’t know if Larry reads this stuff but I have to say that he made my day and I am VERY thankful for what he did.

    Larry Londer is one of the “Good” guys and is one of the many reasons I back CA wines and their producers. Not all of the CA wine industry is stuck up business men who are only out to make a buck.

    If you ever feel like you can’t find a GREAT CA pinot, and that exclusive “Wine List” Oenophiles are buying everything up before you can get to it, give Larry a call, you will be so happy you did!
