Wines tasted in this episode:

Petite Sirah is it the same as Syrah? Is Petite Sirah bigger or smaller then Syrah? Is Petite Sirah the same as Durif? All these questions and more will be answered by a sad Gary Vaynerchuk.

    Gary,
Lift up your skirt. No one likes a trash talker that puts his tail between his legs when it hits the fan. Perhaps flexing your beer muscles is best. Hopefully the shaved facial hair was glued to your chest; be a man damnit!

    Wow!

132 comments (with this one) and climbing. Not that the Jets lost, but that GV looked so down pulled the sympathy strings on (most) of us including the most lurkers to ever log in to comment (I think).

So . . . weep, moan, and wail. Get it out of your system and come back as the Vay – ner – chuck that we all love.

QOTD: Beer (Just not Sam Adams).

    Skol . . .

By FAR the best WLTV episode I’ve ever watched. I love you Gary, but you were becoming a little too obnoxious. Glad you’re back down on earth with the rest of us ;) It’s just a game. Get over it. Now get back to work.

yes it does suck the jets lost to the patsies, but it was a much better season than we had expected. 10-6 was great. also, as was mentioned above they are in a great cap position with only anthony clement on the roster to sign. at least herm lost as well…do you get jets confidential or jetsinsider.com? if not look them up….

Gary, Your misery was palpable. I was waiting for you to snap the thin neck of your wine glass. Thanks for taking one for the team, playing hurt and doing a show for Vayniac-nation. Oh yeah, and thank you for not shaving naked.

That’s what it’s about folks: showing up.

    QOTD answer: chocolate milk.

    TRUE STORY,
On December 19th my girlfriend broke up with me. (we live together) and so I moved my stuff into the second bedroom of our apartment. I set up an old iMac that I have and plugged it in and like magic had a wireless signal. Things are looking up. She gets the TV room, and I have to suffer with old iMac and no Tivo. But that same day I discovered WLTV on Digg. Well, I must have watched 30 episodes that first day to catch up and so not to be seen in the little apartment we have. well one of them was episode 100 that really touched me. It was the pride your father showed of you. This sounds so silly, I know but I decided that I wanted that from my GF and family. So, inspired by your success and enthusiasm, I decided to get back to work in real estate and get back into the nice things I used to enjoy like wine, cheese, and cooking and golf. Things have turned around dramatically and because you update almost daily, I have a reminder and an enthusiastic friend in the computer box telling me to stay on path. so what wine do I drink when I’m sad? Il Bastardo, its cheap and goes with crappy pizza, how sad. Chin up Vaynerchuk, and thanks for being an inspiration to this young businessman…..oh and my girl let me back in the bedroom!

That was terrible!! So sorry you’re so sad, Gary, but I hope you get back to it soon.

QOTD – whatever I run into first.

GV — I know this is a little like asking Mary Todd Lincoln what she thought about the play, but how’d you like Providence? Where did you end up eating?

And just to take insensitivity to the next level, will you be giving the final Jets-related free shipping code to your New England contingency? The bright side being you only had to give it out six times this year (not including this one).

Be proud of your Jets–they did manage to surpass everyone’s expectations (except yours, of course).

QOTD: Johnnie Walker Gold, straight up. Plus for you perhaps some Lionel Richie on the hi-fi.

Gary, I’m dissapointed in you. You let a few comments about the gay glass change your mind about it? Do what you like, who the hell cares what we think.

    Gary,

I am more sorry that people here are gving you so much greif for being sad that your team loosing. It really shows a lot of crass, poor form. It must have been a serious letdown to loose the game, I am sorry for that, I am glad you have a loving and supportive wife and family that is there for you.

I was feeling bummed out because you were so sad, and watching some of the WLTV spoofs really made me feel better.

QOTD: Contrary to many of the suggestions posed hear I will not advocate an audacious consumption of alcohol tonight, I have faith that you have the will and fiber to deal with greif organic, and a healthy way.

I hope you feel better soon, we all really care about you.

    peace,
    Joel

PS. Use whatever glass you feel moved to.

When you go to Cali, try the Gilurzo(spelling) out of Temecula (outside San Diego)- it’s a GREAT Petite Sirah (if they still exist). Sorry about the JETS, but my E A G L E S beat those G-Men- so that should make you happy.

Dude, you are soooo depressed. Sorry for your loss. You better have some spunk in you tomorrow (or later in this episode).

One more year of underdog status to make the eventual Superbowl win that much more sweet and profound. Dare I say I’m a Yankee’s fan, but sometimes I find it tough towards the post season, because well they’re the most winning team in baseball, and they’re just expected to be able to do it year after year. The Jets are like the Red Sox, when they do finally get that ring it’ll go down as a great accomplishment in sports history.

QOTD: No wine, staight to the Irish brothers, Jameson and Guiness. And a little Rolling Stones on the speakers, do however try and avoid the Tom Waits and Nick Drake for atleast 2 weeks. Do not go to Mexico either, bad idea when your down.

Sorry Gary, Tough loss. They just eat your kishkas out. I couldn’t even find solice in a Giant win.
Us New Yorkers have to hang our heads down. We just got beat.

Sad, sad, sad. I felt just as bad after watching the Packers lose SB XXXII to the Broncos. I’ve never, ever watched a replay of that game…

    QOTD: Beer.

    Gary,
I’m sorry about your J-E-T-S. I hope they weren’t too hard on you at Gillette. I’m a Red Sox fan so I have been through this before. The pain goes away… eventually. It’s a good sign that you still have your Jets bucket…I’m not sure I would be that strong.

QOD: I just go to sleep.

Gary, I liked the “petite-sirah” theme… nice. Very sorry about your Jets… we know you love them dearly. All in all, a very SUCCESSFUL season, and congratulations for that!

QOTD: how about one of your first growths? Remember, you and the Jets are part of something way bigger… = WLTV!!!!!!!! whooooooohoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

Gary, that was like a little bit of you and a lot of Valium. Grow the beard back. It looked good. Really. (Every guy I ever dated – or married – had a beard.) And when I’m sad, I drink whatever is nearest. Sometimes it doesn’t work.
