    QOD.. the excorcist.

When I was 5 or 6. I didn’t even remember the name of it until I saw it years later and discovered that it was the film that freaked me out so much when I was younger!! The head spinning and the demonic voices had me cringing. Yikes!

Great topic.. I love seeing all the different cultures in Winemaking. Can’t wait for “Wine Live TV”!!

    First R-Rated Movie?

A Clockwork Orange, at the tender young age of 11. Ah, good times.

Thanks, Gary, for this episode. I have long been a “back to nature” kind of person and opt for the organic route whenever I can. I’m not willing to make that jump as eagerly into the organic wine world. I will definitely try the reisling.

QOD: I can’t remember which I saw first, but it was one of these three:
Summer of ‘42 (originally an “R”)
    The Exorcist
    The Godfather

    Really looking forward to Friday!

I’m not sure what the first R rated movie I saw was but
For some reason I think it was Fast Times AT Ridgemont High.
I had a Zind Humbrecht Riesling; I don’t know what vintage but
it reminded me of a slightly overdone pineapple upside down cake,
it was awsome. I’m taking lunch late on Friday, hope to see you live!

oops forgot QOTD…. Well as my parents were very liberal I was never prevented from seeing anything they did which in terms of R ratings was mainly sex (Saturday Night Fever, All That Jazz, Officer And Gentleman, Urban Cowboy, etc…. ) First R film I remember seeing that I really should not have was Friday the 13th in theater for my brothers birthday, I was only 8! Needless to say, It totally freaked me out and still can’t see horror films, fortunately I have no problem with well made porn ;)

Can’t wait for the live show Friday.

QOTD: Can’t remember the name of the movie but it was a biography of Neil Diamond.

Nice episode….sad to hear about the Dianna Madeliene as I purchased some at the winery. Might have to crack it and see if I agree with you. If not, I’ll let you know.
QOTD – Basic Instinct….I love Sharon Stone! My wife’s is not quite as exciting (I told her to get her own screen name and stop lurcking behind me…..) Her’s is Revenge of the Nerds.

Hey, Gary, again, and as always, great episode. Thank you for educating me on byodynamic farming. Knew nothing about it when I logged on, now know more than I did. Thanks. QOD: ‘M.A.S.H.’ I was under-age and with some friends at a little local theater in Riverside, California. I felt ’so adult’, yet didn’t get most of the adult innuendos. Thinking about it now, I’ve gotta laugh!

Maybe one of you guys can help me out. The other day I had a 2005 Mark West Pinot Noir, (YUCK!!!) and the nose immediately reminded me of popped BlackCat fire crackers. Would that be considered “oaky”?

Alien was my first R Rated movie. I was 6 years old. What were my parents thinking? :)

Gary- Very interesting ep today. Bio dynamic farming is the coming thing. Love the idea of the live show on Friday. Way to keep it coming.

    QOD- Dr. No

Fun show. Shame about the CRB Cot, but the Cabernet still rocks. I’d stand by it, if I had any left.

And, counterargument: the bodacious, beastly Clos Montirius Vacqueyras from Episode 36 is biodynamic, I think.

QOD: Alien, at the tender age of 6.

STRIPES. was my first R movie.

    I loved the 03 antiyal. Haven’t tried the 04. I’ll get one.

    Top 57. Awesome.

Great show. I actually posted a question asking about organic (not the same as biodynamic, I know) grape farming last week and was really glad to hear that a lot of producers are turning away from chemicals. After living near a producer who used an unbelievable amount of chemical sprays, I’ve not only tried to drink (at least) organic, but also wondered what the industry standard is.

QOTD: I’ll preface by saying that I actually had great parents who really thought this was a movie just about dancing. Saturday Night Fever, 1977, I was in 3rd grade. I was the most popular girl in school for a while after that.

Live WLTV would be good, but I’ll be working until about 8pm, bummer! Hope to see the usual vlog after the fact…

It could be great, especially if (as Joe’s Comment 32 said) the wines were made public sev wks in advance, then we east coasters could do a simul cam type tasting and comment along with the VaynerchukMeister. It would also be great to do it a bit later, say 9pm EST. That way we all could get the full effect of LIVE WLTV, but I know you also have a wife and a life away from the Vayniac-Nation.

QOTD – who can remember 30+ yrs ago? Maybe Blazing Saddles?

Ok, newbie here. Do you guys sit around and wait to see who can post first after the show? I don’t mean to step on any toes but, get a life!

First R rated movie, Porky’s 1982, saw it in ‘84, 4 years old. Awesome then, awesome now!
