Gary, you know what? You just saved my butt…
I just came back from shopping and bought 3 bottles of wine, cheeses and pâtés for a party and realized I had spent more money than my girlfriend (who is the one hosting the meal) had planned… But after watching this, I told her that hosting a wine tasting party is so much better than just a normal meal, that all her friends would comment on the wines and have a great time doing so… We went from hosting a meal for which we thought we had paid too much to hosting a cool wine tasting event for a decent price! Funny how the perspective can change things… Keep up the good work… If you were like this at episode 13 and are now like we know you, what will it be like in another 150 episodes????

Gary, still nice episodes back then! Boring is OK sometimes! Thanks for the re-run, I’ve set a date for our first wine-tasting and the theme will be bring a bottle of $10 something. My daughter is worried she won’t be able to find anything worthy. Now I have some recommendations for her. Actually, we have tried one of the Menage a Trois and have always liked it. Hope your vacation is the best.

Hey, Gary. I caught your add on winespectator.com a few weeks ago, and I’ve managed to watch every episode of WLTV since. It sure was interesting watching your on-camera style evolve (especially the transformation after the ‘network negotiations’)! Thanks so much for making my new-found love and study of wine so down-to-earth and fun! Hope you’re enjoying Florida!

So, the ’sweet’ Gary: doing his best hard not to laugh, see the wrinkles in your cheeks. And so dead serious. Still there is already some development here: in the first ep. it looks as if you want to hide behind the table, and yeah, the light is better here, in the first ten eps. that’s a disaster.
      C ya on Monday!

we need a diagram….like the evolution of Gary V…….pictures of Apes beginning to walk upright…something like that would be fitting….the videos have come a long way!

Ok…so Gary is a bit subdued…but you can see the Vay - Ner-Chuk…just ready to burst out! I love it! As always Gary is a One of a Kind! I hope your vacation was A-Maze-Ing! Looking forward to seeing you on Monday!

Hadn’t seen this episode, and loved it as well. For all of you, another fun fact. ‘Folie A Deux’ is a psychiatric diagnosis. It is when, in a couple situation, partner #1 has a serious mental illness, and partner #2 in the relationship, takes on characteristics of partner #1’s mental illness. Interesting to name a wine as such…

Apparently Gary- your bringin’ sexy back

Hopefully this is no nod to Justin Timberlake, as his current releases are in no way superior to his boy band days. Lets not discriminate. Nobody wore highlights and mini-perms like JT.

The two “Other” wines sell like crazy at my two shops. Pierano in general seems to sell really well.

      Happy vaca micky ficky

Obviously a “sexy” theme that would get quite a few people chuckling, as I have with Menage a Trois wines and the surprising fact is these wines are not bad at all. Gary featured The Other white just a few weeks ago which I bought and I was pleasantly surprised.

Hope you had fun in Fla. Too bad you can’t stay longer to see the Colts spanks the Bears.

I’m having a glass of the Hovel right now. Great stuff.

At the 5:27 mark, Gary places a finger into his left ear, thereby enhancing his olfactory sense. Apparently, it’s an acupressure technique. Aye, he’s a crafty one, this Vaynerchuk…

Geez, I just can’t figure out what the underlying theme is here…

I like the early eps just to see how WLTV has evolved, but I miss the wine scores.
      Have a great weekend, all!!!

Great look at early WLTV. This reminds me of those flashback episodes of sitcoms in the 70’s. You know, where they weren’t feeling like preparing a whole new episode, so they would just sit around in the kitchen and say, “Remember when Bobby lit the dog on fire?” or whatever. Then they would laugh, and the screen would melt away to that old flaming-dog scene. 5 or 6 flashbacks edited together, and you’ve filled a half hour.

      Gary-
      My - My - My -
      how the episodes have CHANGED!
That was the temporary spit bucket.
      Hum…
Glad to see the VaynerJET is still bringing you back and forth each day!
Seriously, not sure when you found time to tape all of these great eps before you left.
      Glad you taped them!!
      Subdued and subtle.
Somehow, I don’t think that is the REAL Gary!
Hope the VaynerJET brings you back to Springfield soon!
We have not had many days recently with any sun here in North Carolina.
Looking forward to new semi-live eps soon!

I still haven’t hosted my own wine tasting party, but it’s coming!

This is one of the few early episodes I have watched. But I’m glad you replayed it because I’m really interested in the whites you tasted.

Hope your vacation is going well! (Does Florida have any vineyards?!?)

How funny is this? I JUST watched this episode the other day because I needed a white wine to round out my case (I’ve been batting 0 trying to get some of the wines I want because they’re all sold out). Anyway…it’s great to go back and watch old episodes.

Gary, I wouldn’t say you were boring back then. Well…yes you were :D

I’m envious of you. I could use a vacation in a sunny place. Enjoy!

      Matt B DC

Dang, you really were subdued back then comparitively. I’m glad you found your voice . . . and if that requires a vacation to sustain, then hey - - how can I complain about getting something for nothing, and then getting nothing for nothing thereafter?

      CHEF

I hope we’re not back to “Sweet” Wines…No I think there is a SEX theme in there somewhere.
But yes, You were “Dull” and “Boring” in the early Episodes…I guess you have “Aged” in your video maturity…Are you back next week???

Who the heck was that nerd hosting WLTV? It’s fun to watch the early episodes and see how the Wine Guy has grown, or devolved. Your choice.
