Like most Mollydooker wines, you must like fruit bombs. Was holding a sign in that guys job description..like like one of those idiots holding a sign on the strret when a furniture store is advertising their store liquidation. Ok, Gary, you are the best! My 9 year old son, Julian, and I were laughing our heads off at this episode–the best part was your dead-pan face as you caught the wine glass as it flew off the “table”. I am about to get my own blog launched into the stratosphere (with the help of your tips in Crush It!) and I only hope to be as entertaining as you…keep on changing the wine world and inspiring us all, Gary!

The wines of Bordeaux are always blends, mostly of Cabernet Sauvingon and Merlot but Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec may also be added.
On the left bank of the Gironde Estuary in St Emillion and Pomerol, the wines mostly are amjority Merlot blends, whereas on the right bank in the Medoc the main grape in the blend tends to be Cab Sauv. The characteristics change depending on the blend. Left Bank -> softer, more opulent, plummy wines from Merlot. Right Bank -> more structured wines, higher tannin and more blackcurrant fruit. General charactersitics people normally flag up are things like cedarwood and cigar box aromas but I think they tend to only develop with age – I associate much more with Gary Vee's disucussion of earthy flavours and stony minerality.
