Was the question, ‘How weather effects wine’ or ‘how weather effects the wine taster’? The wines seemed to fare better than you guys. That was pretty nuts and I must say you really took one for the team there. Not sure why, but it was entertaining. I feel for your colleagues out there who didnt have a say in the matter. QOTD – My favorite snow days was one of those where they shut everything down pre-emptively and then it never snowed at all. Way to go out with a bang before London.

You sicko! Official king of the wine world now G-Man. Screw Parker and Laube you the man. Snow? Thats the cold stuff that blows in the wind, that’s not sand right?

QOTD: Early 90’s ice storm in Upstate NY. Everything in my area just shut down for a week. I remember cooking hamburgers on a wood fire stove, and my parents running out of white zin.

Gary, you are completely freakin’ nuts and we love you for it! Just seeing you spit Spectator’s “wine of the year” into some dirty Jersey snow helps remind us all that on a certain level, wine is all just grape juice. Thanks for helping us not take ourselves too seriously.

Blizzard of ‘78. Three days off in a row in CT, I was in sixth grade and was on a sled all day each day.

You are crazy!!! But THANKS, because we’re planning a snowshoeing trip to a Yurt in two weeks, and we were wondering how the wine we plan on hauling up will stand up to the weather.

After watching you, I just want to say that I love living in California. Snow is fun, but in small doses.

    Bro-

    You are CRAZY!!!!
Everytime it snows, I think of you!! You would wake up and measure the snow with a ruler in hopes of getting out of school. As a teacher I still need your weather predictions…
    Happy V-Day!!!

That first spit was worthy of Ricky Riccardo. Ricky: “Oh Lucy, where is that red wine I opened? It’s a classic Lynch Bages that I’m serving our guest at the Copa tonight, the famous Gary Vaynerchuk.” Lucy [tipsy]: “Waaaahhhhhhhh!”

Favorite blizzard: 1996. We got 28 inches in NJ. I was in Vegas with no flights back East while my poor wife was snowed in with two kids (6 months and 2 years old). — Mark B

GV that was sick!! Two things that made this funny as hell!

    1. The contrast between the sign holders attire and yours. F-in hilarious
    2. Everytime you spit he lifted the sign up. I’m still laughing about that.

    3. It would have been three if you actually lost the glass or the bottle.

I don’t even care what you tasted. That was up there with palette training. man!

QOTD: Today!! Level 2 & 3 snow emergencies all around!

QOTD for you: What did you have to warm up when you went back inside?

That is Dedication with a capital “GV”!! I think I tend towards the New World and would like to know a decent priced “fruit bomb” to try out since you are sold out of all those other ones whewww). I am pretty sure I know the Old World. I just had a Frontenac from the local winery and I would describe it as vegetal (sp?) Great hands BTW!
