Thanks for sharing the email about Nick. I’m sure you have touched Nick’s family as much as you have him. Parents like Nick’s are my hero.
It’s cool that you featured two New York wines. That would be a fun wine tasting party theme: Wines from the Empire State.

Good show! Greene Grape in Fort Greene is a really nice shop…small, but well-edited. I was there last year for an afternoon tasting with producers from South Africa. For a couple of them, it was their first visit to the States. The store also has an “outpost” (as far as Brooklynites are concerned) in the Wall St. area.

Good show Gary and a nice gesture recognizing Nick. It goes to show that everyone could and should endeavor to make a difference in the lives of others and there are countless ways to do it.
Bravo!

Gary,
You are an incredible person with your heart in the right place. My 9 year old daughter is also a huge fan. She watches your episodes as well and sleeps in her Vayniac T-shirt. I am proud she is a fan of such a good hearted person, as opposed to some Hollywood tabloid celeb.
Thanks for being you!!

Sweet show, Gar’ —
I don’t know much about Autism, but I would have to think that your appeal to Nick is grounded in your humanity, your upbeat energy, and the way everything you talk about becomes an adventure.

Gary,
I think it is safe to say we all know how much emails and stories like this mean to you and it is because you are real and you tell it like it is.
Keep it up. You mean a lot to everyone out here.

Wow, how cool is that?? Nice job Gary. And thanks for the New York wines, I think you should do some more of those. That’s one area that I am badly in need of some edumacation.

I haven’t received my Cork Club shipment yet, but after your review (and the fact that Lenn would consider it, as well), i’m eagerly awaiting my shipment to try the Roanoke Blend2.

Man, I posted before I saw Gary’s review of the Macari Early Wine. Going to have to disagree with you on this one!

Sensei,
Your tribute to Nick was very touching. Had you planned on us seeing the photo that was attached to the email? I would have loved to have seen it.
You are an amazing guy and we are all lucky to have you to help teach us about wine and the important things in life, which are freinds, family, health and doing something nice for other human beings.
Thanks for ALL that you do….

Gary…you have a great heart! That was a touching commentary about who and where you are in your life. It shows that running a huge operation like Wine Library has not changed the underlying character. Hats off to your parents for raising a humble, grounded guy!
It’s episodes like this that truly make us all feel like we’re party of a family.
Cheers!
