   Thanks for sharing the email about Nick. I’m sure you have touched Nick’s family as much as you have him. Parents like Nick’s are my hero.

   It’s cool that you featured two New York wines. That would be a fun wine tasting party theme: Wines from the Empire State.

   Good show! Greene Grape in Fort Greene is a really nice shop…small, but well-edited. I was there last year for an afternoon tasting with producers from South Africa. For a couple of them, it was their first visit to the States. The store also has an “outpost” (as far as Brooklynites are concerned) in the Wall St. area.

   You are an incredible person with your heart in the right place. My 9 year old daughter is also a huge fan. She watches your episodes as well and sleeps in her Vayniac T-shirt. I am proud she is a fan of such a good hearted person, as opposed to some Hollywood tabloid celeb.

    Your tribute to Nick was very touching. Had you planned on us seeing the photo that was attached to the email? I would have loved to have seen it.

    You are an amazing guy and we are all lucky to have you to help teach us about wine and the important things in life, which are freinds, family, health and doing something nice for other human beings.

    Gary…you have a great heart! That was a touching commentary about who and where you are in your life. It shows that running a huge operation like Wine Library has not changed the underlying character. Hats off to your parents for raising a humble, grounded guy!
