Great job on the chablis. Thanks again for the useful info! Loved the shout out to Nick yesterday too!! I’m a special ed. teacher and would love to see/participate in a WL wine tasting for a charity for autism!! Could we make that happen? We are VaynerNation….anything is possible. Let’s not just change the wine world…….let’s change the whole world……for the better!!!!!!

Oh man I am so stoked for the free shipping. I meant to get in on it last time (after the live show I believe?) but I am a forgetful bastard. Thanks Gary for my second chance!

Jug of Chablis chugged in college. Didn’t stay done long! To this day, my Chardonay choices and tastes are few and far between.

Very informative episode. I bet the “window of opportunity” on these wines is less than what you are predicting.

QOTD: CK Mondavi Chablis in magnum bottles. I had class even in the old days. On a special occaision I’d break out the French Columbard, whatever the heck that stuff was.

    Ciao

    Gary:

Great episode – I lvoe Chablis – especially Boucard, Verget and LaRoche.
I have NEVER bought California JUG Chablis…but did buy a 750 ml bottle (not a jug) of Mirassou “Chablis” 1976 when I visited the winery in 1978. Talk about a memory! Back then Mirassou was a big deal and I think that wine, even though labeled Chablis, was not “low Brow”.

THanks for the free shipping to California!

    NICE. Thank you, Gary.
Somebody mentioned a wicker basket… ha ha ha!!! Too funny- forgot about those. Never personally drank from a jug…ask me, though, if I’ve drank from a box. Mhm.

For some reason I felt compelled to comment.

    Great episode; you’re the best!

QOTD: Never had jug wine. But I have had box wine. And box wine, of course, is awesome because you get to experience the sound of someone peeing into your wine glass ;-)

    Chablis…..WOOOOOOOOO!

Nice episode… QOD – Honestly I have never had jug chablis. Seriously!
I have enjoyed many petit chablis and premier cru chablis though. Much better than the over oaked california chards IMHO.

I am gonna have to scrounge some cash and order a few more chablis.

Thanks for the episode and the free shipping.

Great show Gary….I got a question for you. I always thought that Chablis were not oaked but after this show apparently they are. Your thoughts?
QOTD – No jug wines in Canada except some baby duck…every tried it?

QOD: Have had too many jug chablis, at least until recently when I started watching the show. Thanks so much for introducing me to so many different types of wonderful wine. I look forward to ordering some of today’s wines; thanks for the free shipping!! I don’t know much about football, my husband (a Jets fan of over 30 years)just commented today that they need a running back.

Knights of Columbus???!! At Medievel Times?! What a hoot!
So is Free Shipping Free Shipping?? for 2 day air? I don’t want my Chablis to freeze.

Did you hear Randy Moss is being talked about in Green Bay? Not sure many of us want to win THAT bad!

Recieved my Schwag today,, can’t wait to show it off to the wine group. That ended up sounding funny…

A cheap jug of chabli in a paper bag sitting on a curb with some friends when I was 20, was the last time I had jug chabli.

I’m old enough to have drunk plenty of jug chablis. But many years ago, don’t remember the vintage, a Drouhin Les Grenouilles got me hooked on the real thing. One or two bottles in the cellar now. Really should add a few more.

Nice episode, Gary. The more I watch the more I realize what I don’t know about wine. I did not know that Chablis was Chardonnay!! Thanks for the free shipping. Now, I need to find a cubby hole for another 12 bottle styrofoam wine cellar. I think I’ll get some more San Felipe Malbec and try a few Chianti Classicos.

Learned to steer clear of that Livingston Cellars “chablis” a long time ago, fortunately.

Anyway, happy free agency and happy blizzard to everyone else in IA. If we’re really lucky, we’ll get two snow days instead of one, and then I just don’t know what I’ll do.

I have NEVER had a California Chablis. Well, OK. I was 19 and my mom had a box of it in the fridge- and how can you judge the amount of wine in a 50 gallon box? Awful stuff.
