Is it just me, or did the demise of the Soviet Union and US pro athletics destroy the Olympics? I’m sure our Belorussian Wine Guy is personally happy with the communist’s demise, but it really made the Olympics less dramatic. Ah yes…yearning for the return of the cold war and riviting Olympic Games…

2006 NCAA Football Championship Game. I go to Florida, so for me that was the single best football game I have ever seen. For us to show all the doubters how good of a team we are, and how crappy and overrated the “unbeatable” OSU team was; that was awesome. And, come to think of it, there is a certain basketball game on tonight…featuring the same two teams…and I believe we are going to show who dominates in all sports.

QOTD – Well this has got to a two pronger…..best head to head match I have seen has got to be Jordan vs. Bird in that horse game that was on TV about 10 years ago. Those guys are crazey. Best head to head ever is us playing a little one on one…but I know it will never happen cause you fear me Gary! YOu fear my outside three, my tear drop, my hook, my Kevin McHale up and under. To be honest, I don’t blame you.

Never had a Pine Ridge. There are so many good wines out there, hard to taste them all. Unless you own an wine store and get to do it for TV!!! QOTD: Ali: Frazier 1 in the Garden. An absolute classic. # 2 would be the Ali Foreman Rope a dope stunner.

QOTD: Without a doubt the best head to head I’ve ever been a part of was a 2001 Hanzell Chardonnay and a 2003 Domaine Serene Cote Sud Chardonnay. In a group of 8 it was a complete split and a close call for many of us. Amazing wines…I’m still thinking the Domaine Serene won simply for QPR though….and Oregon wines just plain rock.
