hmmmm, twice a day. A couple of well covered unmentionables, and watch/listen to WLTV on my iPod while driving or working out.

Mmm…I love nothing more than a Sauterne. I think in the wine world we say “nummy for my tummy.”. Anyway, QOD: I love nothing more than knowing that I’m going to walk my dog at least twice every day. She’s a special girl to me and love taking her on walks, and I think she enjoys them as well.

this was a nice lunch surprise to find a new ep. kind of makes eating in at my desk just a little bit sweeter. after the 47 sauterne at the S+W off line, i’m really thinking about purchasing some 05 futures. this ep just pushed me a little bit further towards pulling the trigger.. like i need the help.

Speaking of angry palates…this past weekend me and my beautiful wife stopped for some mexican for lunch…there was an item on the menu only available on Saturday & Sunday…Menudo…”a soup with pork & hominy”… SO I ask for a bowl w/2 spoons thinking we would share something new we hadn’t tried before. BIG MISTAKE! See the face G is making down below in episode #182, “How does weather affect wine”? kinda how my face was when they sat that bowl in front of us. If your nor familiar with Menudo…google it. Wish i’da googled it before ordering.

Sauternes rock! (Barsac, Sauternes, …). In me cellar, I have an ’03 Riussec, some ’03 Chat. Guiraud, an ’02 Chat. Haut-Bergeron, and an ’01 Chat. Suduiraut. Ports and other fortified desserts are nice, and so are liqueurs like Grand Marnier. But Sauternes botrytized juice is the king. I’ve still not yet tried a D’Yquem. Someday…

What do I do twice a day? Eat breakfast.

Love Sauternes but the cost on them has risen so much like other Bordeaux wines that I had put off buying more. This price range is better. My palate was mad at me for a Charles Shaw tasting by a neigbor. 6 different bottles none good. Had I only known to clear it with a Sauterne.

TagWorld Brian sounds like a Hobbit with the 2nd breakfast and all. (Lord of the Rings reference of course) 😀

Thanks Gary. I’m just learning more about Sauternes. Maybe I will pick up a bottle of Chateau Lafaurie Peyraguey on Saturday. I’m driving my son up from DC to attend the auto show.

2 shows? You NUT! 2x a day, hmm, walk the dog comes to mind, terriers need too much exercise. Oh, and I picked up a bottle of the Four Vines Dusi Ranch Zinfandel 2003 (not the ’04 you did last week) for 26 bones last night, and WOW you weren’t kidding. This was a huge wine, we had some char grilled skirt steaks and a nice bitter greens salad and the wine stole the show for everyone. Good call on that one G, thanks for the tip.

New Yorkers have the highest average journey-to-work times (thirty-nine minutes) of any city in the country, but are apparently much happier with their commutes than people are elsewhere. It could be that New Yorkers are better conditioned to megalopolitan hardships, or that public transportation ameliorates some of the psychic costs. Or maybe theyâ??re better at lying to themselves.” Personally, I use the time to catch up on my reading.
