Every time I see a wine from the Languedoc region, I always think of the movie Mondovino. They had a lot of info on the Languedoc in that film.

QOTD #2: I think of the little furry creatures w/ stars on their antennae. They were called “Sprites” and were in the cartoon w/ Rainbow Brite. Yes, not gonna lie, I watched that cartoon as a kid.

I wish I could do my hair like that. Anyway, I’m a huge fan of Carignan so hearing about these wines is a welcomed relief.

QOTD #1: I’m going to try and do something this weekend while wearing my Vayniac wristband! Thank you

QOTD #2: Huh? I have no clue what “Rainbow Bright” refers to.

    Cheers!

P.S. Here’s a nice restaurant not far from work that features the wines and cuisine of the ‘Doc.

classic hair man. Recently people have been making alot of comments on your hair. It’s great to see you paying attention to all these replies and responding with the(reference to comment#43 Harly Stan) Flock of seagulls doo.Unbelievable GV keep up the good work man, classic…QOTD#1 I’m trying man, but I’m pretty computer illiterate and I’m really stuck on trying to get video onto my computer, let alone uploaded and sent to veoh or you or anybody for that matter. But I’ll keep working on it. QOTD # 2:
“Rainbow Brite,” introduced by Hallmark in 1984, was young Gary Vaynerchuk’s favorite animated TV series. In 1985, the animated feature-length film, “Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer” was released, and to this day remains Gary’s favorite motion picture of all time.

While other boys of his age were collecting “Star Wars” Action Figures, little Gary was quietly amassing one of the largest collections of Rainbow Brite dolls and figurines in the Eastern United States.
A little-known fact is that he never sold his collection, and it is currently stored in a locked, temperature-controlled vault on the basement level of the Wine Library.

A guided tour will show that all of his favorites are there – the good guys: Rainbow Brite, Starlite, Tickled Pink, Baby Brite, Sunriser and Moonglow; as well as the villains: Murky Dismal, Lurky, The Dark Princess and Count Blogg.

Gary’s “Rainbow Brite” obsession caused him no end of difficulties as he grew. He endured a great deal of pain and embarrassment at the hands of his classmates who didn’t – or wouldn’t – understand.

But in his senior year of high school, he literally stumbled onto his salvation: he found that when he concealed his his deep-seated love of “Rainbow Brite” behind a macho, bravado facade as the New York Jets’ greatest, most passionate fan – his whole life changed. Enemies became friends once more, and he was no longer an outcast. His popularity grew, girls found him irresistibly attractive, and his sexual proclivities were never again thrown into question.

Gary has been happily leading this double life for nearly 15 years – to all outward appearances the ultimate Jets fan; to those who know him best, the devoted keeper of the “Rainbow Brite” flame.

If you want to become one of Gary’s extra-special friends, the next time you meet him, and he gives you a firm hand-shake, pull him close and whisper “Rainbow Brite” in his ear. I guarantee you, his eyes will light up and his smile will broaden, because those code words mean that he’s found a kindred soul, someone who knows the real — Gary Vaynercuhuk.

GARY. Classic. Your plea in the beginning reminded me of the Herlihy boy. Especially w/the hair. FUNNY! I loves to laugh.
By the way- the faint music in the background sent me running for my cell phone- I couldn’t figure out where the “h” the sound was coming from.
QOTD#1- I’m too lazy to answer.
QOTD#2- The Cartoon! I was going to say the cereal, too, but I think that was Strawberry Shortcake. What’s your association with Rainbow Bright. Hm?
Great tasting! Thank you! Gotta get me a bottle of that 93 pointer. I’ll be sure to high-5 my wallet.

Great episode as always. The hair was interesting, I wasn’t sure if you were having a crazy pull your hair out day or you are trying grow out a Flock Of Seagulls style of do and need another month or two to make the complete wave.
    QOTD 1- No excuse sir

QOTD 2 Lite bright and My Little Pony, not sure why it is just what popped into my head at the time.

I can’t tell which was more disconcerting: your hair, or “Dust In The Wind” playing in the background.

Excellent episode, I’ll keep my eyes peeled for these up here in Sonoma.

QOTD: I’m WORKING on the damn podcast, seriously! And rainbow brite immediately makes me think of kitchen cleaners. Seriously.

QOTD: Off my lazy ass. Just sent ya a couple pictures of me and my free schwag Vayniac wrist band. It’s turned out to be a very useful strap to hold my boards together (boards=skis — Yes, skis. Plural. Two of them. Not a board…you young hippie snowboardin’ punks. I didn’t speak that out loud, did I?) :-O
