People often bash me for no good reason. Sometimes they do it unintentionally. I have a history of being misunderstood. Of course I have the critical ability to bash back and cut them to shreds with just a few deft strokes. Now don’t think I don’t want to use this power, especially when its application is deserved on the other end. But I know for a fact that when you get upset, it is often the upset state you remember later, not the cause (this is just like a girl I was in “love” with many years ago; I remember her, but can’t quite remember her name.)

So the best thing to do is to find some distraction. Wine is a good one. Song is another good one. I would say wine, women and song, except that women, unlike wine or song, can and will bash you. I have to amend that, since I guess a bad wine can really bash you — reflux and all that — so that leaves song. And song is jazz.

QOD: In my life, when it all came down to it, the culprit has been either jealousy or not caring enough to get to know me. My shoulders became broader because of it, tho’. I can take a lot more heat now.
