I’m buying the Black Bart and using the bottle to beat off the cockroaches in my ghetto pad.
    Thanks for the tip!

I have never seen a wetter wet blanket thrown over GV’s enthusiasm than by the Chilean syrah after the giddiness over Bride of Black Bart.

QOD– Sorry Gary but I got creeped out when you said something about marrying your sibling. That was sort of like a shot of RAID in the eye…

I did not comment on the italian whites episode, cause I was so busy these days, but I don’t want to keep it inside: that was a GREAT episode. Congratulations to all in the Chicago group. The raffle video is very fun and cool to watch. I guess today is going to be fun, because the veoh contest is now close. Will the finalists be announced this Friday? I don’t expect to win, but I’m so pleased to have put in my two cents (towards a free shipping opportunity! haha). Gosh, this is such a great bunch (community). Hail to Vaynerchuk.

QOTD– It feel so right living life to its full potential everyday and to cherish the good moments and forget the bad ones.

Black Bart’s Bride is MIA!! That didn’t last long.
QOD: Yes, but I don’t want to toot my own horn; I’ll try to follow GV’s example of humility. ;)
BTW, Kudos again to the Windy City! A great bunch of people.

I had a kid working for me three years ago who confided in me that he couldn’t wait until he was eighteen to drop out of school. He had missed over 50 days of class that year, and it didn’t appear that his folks really cared about it. He enjoyed working for me, and I told him that, while he could do whatever he wanted, if he dropped out, he wouldn’t work for me anymore. He stayed in, started going to class, raised his GPA, and has now been accepted to the CIA. That’s the kind of stuff that makes me feel good.

QOTD: I clocked a guy in the fifth grade.

You should get a better light and reflector for the show, something a little warmer.

I’m not going to rant and rave about the “things that I have done” but I will say that the formost thing that I have done that has FELT SO RIGHT is being alive, doesnt it kick @$$. There may be hardships, there may be times that do not necessarily feel so great, but damn, when you look back and see what’s taken place (good or bad), it is amazing to put the peices together and really see where you come from. This insight is really what is great!

BTW, the Chi-tizle loves a great time and…WHOA, it was had by all on FRI!!!

Wow Gary, Jen (post #65) threw digital panties at you. Way to go! Don’t fish for compliments my way though, I had somebody tell me I look like Leonardo DiCaprio today. Course I weigh about twice his size, so I calculate that makes me twice as good looking. Beat that!

Quick point: love the angst around the Demartino, I identify with the feeling. Reminds me of dropping nice money on wine at a restaurant and getting liquid Mierda.

QOTD: Donating my car to the american diabetes association (I’m kindof a tightwad, giving stuff away is hard). Felt great to know I was doing some good for some anonymous strangers.

Side rant: So I’m totally Johnny-come-lately on this, but I’d dig on an email rundown of the SF event (forum search only yielded posts from people who know what to expect). It looks like there are still spots available…?

I spelled “unfortunately” incorrectly and it’s bothering me. I feel the need to let everyone know. OCD.

    Very fun episode today!

QOTD: I was researching careers in college and found the perfect one for me: art conservator. I’m still working on actually being one, but it’s incredible feeling to know exactly what I want to do and know I’ll be good at doing it. Unfortuneately it’s one of the most competitive fields in the country, but I’ll get there.

Great episode, Gary – as usual I am having difficulty finding any of the wines mentioned. I may have to have my local wine shop special order more often -Black Bart’s Bride, for one, sounds intriguing.

I’m letting the “s” comment pass me by…

QOTD – I flew to Tokyo, Japan on my 30th birthday and stayed 14 months. Working in another culture moved me in an entirely new direction. From that experience, I decided to teach for a living, a decision which, although unbelievably challenging and trying at times, is one I will never regret. I love working with high school kids – they keep me balanced, honest and humble; they remind me constantly of what is really important in life, and they keep me on my toes and thinking. Most importantly, I cannot go for more than five minutes without having a laugh, not a bad way to live.

Where is the BRDX footage Gary!!
QOTD: Charity surgery for cancer patients with no insurance

Xavier McDaniel? He was terrible. I do remember the full page ads for him in the NYT back in the day.

Banana peel? Who eats banana peel?

You should have stolen my fisting line about the punt from Friday night…

You forgot to mention that you’re shorter in person…

    Bigfoot? It’s Sasquatch.

    Nice missed pour…

Polio String Cheese… Yo, Jimmy — Give me a pizza with nothin! Nothin’?!?

QOTD: I’m not sure. I don’t really have any regrets in life.

    flavasauce

QOTD: That’s a very personal question to me that I’d rather not answer in the comments section. Maybe in SF after I’ve had a few :)

Oooooh, Gary… If you’re much, much, much better looking in person, then I’m in trouble come May… ;) and to answer the question of the day… Oh yes, I have. Are we supposed to elaborate? ha ha ha!! (And I like it when you babble. It’s cute.) Oh… so sweet what you said about Lizzie!!!!! Gee whiz!!
