QOTD: Probably my buddy Charles. He’s the only other person I know who would bother to try to figure out what makes a wine tick.

Great episode Gary – I had the Martinens a year after release, and it was pretty good, but even then I remember it to be a bit light.

    QOTD: My wife.

Never been first before so that was cool. Drinking wine with Canuckchuk. The 1997 Sterling Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is one that comes to mind. But there have been quite a few. Funny thing about this episode is that I enjoy the bordeaux but Canuckchuk is not as big on them. Great episode Gary!

We need to be able to edit our posts. I see typos and can’t correct them!

    “I just with the little . . .” should be “I just wish the little . . .”

BTW, Paul M is correct though if you enter “29925″ as the item in your url you will get it.

QOTD: My friend Heidi; not only do we have fun, but she has about the same level of knowledge that I do, so we can have really great conversations about it. And we come up with really funny descriptive phrases!

Ahhhhh, now we’re talking. “Dead grasshoppers”? I remember in my youth when I would catch one and it would ooze tobacco juice. At least that’s what I thought it was a great Old World Bordeaux would emulate that grasshopper juice.

Great, great show and you hit it on the head that there’s nothing like the bouquet of an Old World wine, i.e. earth, tobacco, leather, chocolate, black currant. The French know how to make good wine.

QOTD: Though I do not get the opportunity to taste/drink wine with him, my buddy DrWo, is the person to whom I really enjoy and appreciate drinking wine. He is much more knowledgeable than I and I sometimes feel intimidated but it is still a treat. We both appreciate fine wine. I just with the little woman (wife) enjoyed something other than Gatorade! :(

    Bring on the Reignac!

    Au revoir!

Happy Birthday Gary’s Mom! I like to drink with my spouse the best! She lets me dazzle her with my knowledge, usually some tid bit I picked up that day from WLTV, and then doesn’t make fun of me when she proves she has about twice the quality palate that I do.

Another embraceable episode. 2001 Chateau Ferriere goes in my shopping list. Very well formulated analogy for leading us into appreciating and desiring the older concept of wine and its flavors. It’s nice when you get so poetic like that. By the way.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMA VAYNERCHUK! QOTD: I don’t know.. maybe I’ll enjoy drinking a bottle or two with KAHUNA some day :-)

QOTD: The best man in my wedding. he was the one who got me started and now when we visit each others house, the visitor gets to pick the wine for the weekend. Gets expensive, but always a good time… Thank god I go to his house more than he comes to mine!!!

nice ep gary v. love the OW wines.

qotd-my wife! We were out to dinner w/ another couple last Fri at a place that provided corkage, so we cracked a bottle of Garretson 2004 Bulladoir. That is some serious viscous juice! Thanks WLTV! Thanks for the tip. Now if only I could afford a case…

Just started watching your podcast … found it from a suggestion by Diggnation …

Luv the show … had not been drinking wine much lately …. you got me back in to it!

I have not seen every show … maybe the last 20-25 so you may have already done this tasting – Walla Walla Washington area wines. From my experience they are fantastic … may be my favorite region I have tasted overall but cannot find many since I moved to Phoenix in 2001. Can you do a tasting of theses wines?

QOTD – My best friend from Seattle. He comes down to Phoenix for Spring Training every year and we have at least 1 wine tasting night.

    nice wines!

QOTD: my wife. she doesn’t know a ton about wine but i love that because you get a fresh opinion on wines. plus, her descriptions of aromas and flavors are amazing. toasted marshmallow, pomella, lemon zest, she describes them in such an interesting way.
