    Gary,

Saw you Wednesday on Uncorked (MOJO channel) New York show. This may be old news but it was a surprise to me to be channel surfing and find this show. I see it is on again tonight at 11:30 ET and tomorrow at 10:30pm ET. I liked the over/under contest. Two out of 3 not bad!

QOTD: My middle son who likes watching WineLibraryTV!

My wife or my friend John. Great episode. I wish it were easier to come across good Bordeaux by just walking into a wine shop and grabbing one. But then…all good things are worth working for, right?

Very nice that you have yet another vintage of chateau Ferriere’. Conventional wisdom and Cooks Encyclopedia of Wine says its not generally available outside France.
Although, it is very diplomatic of you to respect others preferences for hot, grape kool aid, oak soaked wines, you have to ask yourself one question. Would YOU rather be drinking a bottle of say a $70 Mitolo Shiraz with a bizillion Parker points. OR a mature bottle of even a second wine of a great Bordeaux at half that price from a decent vintage? example, Lacoste Borie 2000 @$30. Both are well made wines but I believe great terrior trumps forward opulence.
QoTD- George Thourogood since apparently we both drink alone.

QOTD: Gotta give the shout-out to MY mom on this one, because I love to drink wine with her. She doesn’t drink wine often, but I took her to to do some tasting at a couple vineyards in Santa Barbara when she visited me in LA last semester, and it was such a great feeling to educate her a little bit and steer her away from white Zinfandel!!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TAMARA VAYNERCHUK!!

Nice going on this episode. I really appreciate your honest evaluations. Quiet night for me. My Thursday wine night with my daughter and her neighbors was canceled. By the way, I watching this episode while drinking some Bodegas Arrocal 2005 (This wine rocks !!! Gotta get some more !!!).

    Happy Birthday Mrs V. !!!

QOTD: I usually spend Thursday nights with my daughter and her neighbors tasting wines. Lots of fun. I also enjoy drinking wine with my son. He’s the one who introduced me to Wine Library.

QOTD: My wife, because she’s my life companion. And my Dad, because he loves wine, has a great cellar, and really enjoys learning and trying new wines – like I do. And Tom & Becky, because they’re just lots of fun and enjoy great wines, esp. Cal. cabs and Pinots, and Washington stuff.

QOTD: My husband and two of our friends. We get to try 2 or 3 bottles instead of just 1 and it’s fun getting several opinions. My husband and I just brought out a bottle of 1997 Gevery Chambertin that I thought was getting old and a bottle of 2002 Babcock pinot noir. He loved the Chevry, but it was Babcock all the way for me- pure silk.

Yeah, I’ve had some excellent bottles with BCWinesAreIn. And just because I said “feh” to a 1966 Mouton Rothschild, doesn’t mean a thing. I mean, serve up some good stuff. ;-) Here’s to more good bottles to come!

Good show Gary, can’t wait to see the Bordeaux footage next week. I just got my wristband today, thank you very much. I will give you many photos with it on.

QOTD – My Dad. The one guy who has never been impressed with a single wine I’ve drank with him. It dosen’t matter what I bring over anything in his cellar is 10 times better. I love my dad so much that I will always bring wines hopeing he will like them and he will always open bottles from his cellar.
