More on QOTD: Since you asked, stuff that WL doesn’t have (at least at the moment) that I would LOVE to try some day: Marcassin Cab, Quilceda Creek Cab, anything from SQN, basically “special” stuff that i cannot get here in Ohio and that I can’t really afford most of the time.

    Welcome back to the air!

I would have picked Screaming Eagle but WL does not carry it. :)

Great episode. My wife and I really enjoy Rioja, although I haven’t had any 26 year old white ones lately. ;-)

QOTD: Since you mentioned it, I would LOVE to try this one:

I’d like to get your spin on Citra 2005 Montepulciano D’Abruzzo. Cheap but…

QOTD: Any vintage of the Matriarch by Bond, or the Maiden by Harlan Estate. Two wines, that, for whatever reason, are really piquing my curiosity right now.

Great to have you back, it’s crazy how wltv has become a staple of my daily routine. I think i’ll try some rioja, I tried the montecillo and didn’t like it at all so I figured I just wouldn’t like any of them, but now i’m thinking I just need to try a better producer. QOTD: I’ve been intrigued by the pavie http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=1265. But more up my alley and price range would be the 1999 frescobaldi brunello http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=2220. Also anything from Gaja, I recently had the 2004 promis ca’marcanda which is probably their least expensive wine and was blown away by the complexity and polish. I couldn’t imagine what their higher level ones are like. Keep up the great work, i’ve developed a great passion for wine and you’re a big reason for that.

QOTD: I’d love to see an episode on non-White Zin Rose wines. Specifically this one ( http://corkd.com/wine/view/17676-2004_Copain_Saisons_des_vins_Ros__Le_Printemps ) which has a good score on Cork’d.

Up your wheelhouse? Okay, not a big sports fan, so I had to resort to Urban dictionary (although the context is “in” in the examples).

Welcome back, you’ve been missed (and another 2 of those dirty annoyances out of my pocket).

QOD – If I could taste any wine in the world, it would have to be the 1999 Dal Forno Amarone. It’s the only wine you ever scored 100 points!

    Missed you last week……….

QOTD: the 95-97 Barolos………all way out of my budget!!!!

How about a Rose episode with summer coming on??

    QOD:

You did say any wine right?

    1945 DRC magnum

Ok, if we’re being realistic, then:

I’d really like to try a Pavie or Chat. Margaux

It’s great when you taste wines from different regions around the world. It’s like a refresher course on my wine book (”The Wine Bible”.)

QOTD: I would love to taste the wines of Peidmont. I have had a Barbera, but not from Italy. From the discription I read of the barolas, that is the wine I want to try the most!

Yes, welcome back. You’ve been missed

QOTD: I would like to see one day a Rayas ‘90: http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=31445
or maybe just a good Cornas or Côte-Rotie.

QOTD: agree with 3dvw- I want to hear about some Beujoulais Cru. I know Beujoulais have a bad reputation, but these are good! And reasonable.

Would love to see you review a few of your best sellers especially:

    Sharpshooter Chardonnay
    http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=27615

    Ehlers Merlot
    http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=8473

For some reason I always avoid these wines because I fear the love they get from the masses means they are mediocre sweet wines but maybe not very good wine…then again I could be completely wrong. Give us the Gary V yeah or nay!

there must be subliminal messages in these videos, because having the show back today was like having that first cup of coffee after running out of beans for two days. is that wrong?

qotd: i have to say the 2001 Prunotto show had my drooling… and the cheese to boot! (http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=31225)

QOTD: I am dying to try the Pinotage – the day you reviewed it, my best friend called to tell me this was my wine (I used to be a competitive cyclist, so lived on bananas for years – the perfect cycling food), so he thought of me when he heard of a wine smelling like bananas.

    WL item #28012

I’m up to 4 cents, 6 cents to go.

    Welcome Back!!!
QOTD: Recently I’ve been a bit obsessed with riesling and have tried a few good ones, but I haven’t found anything overly spectacular that is within my budget…I’m a poor college kid. I would love to taste a really good German riesling maybe something like http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=30429

Thank you for the silent shout out. I had car trouble today and had to wait 1.5 hrs for roadside assistance. . .of course, it was raining. A dash of you really brightened my day.

QTD: the 2005 Chateau Margaux that you tasted on your March trip to Bordeaux.
