QOTD: Battle scenes. Yep, all-out war, with stick figures and little swoosh marks for the bombs and the bullets. None of my stick figures actually were dead, though. Only the machines got “killed”. At heart, I was always really a pacifist.

It looks like youre starting to get loopy, Gary. Im going to guess by the time I get the the final of this marathon of tapings youre going to be….. well youx10. No, its a good thing. I like your energy. QOTD: Everything. All of it of poor quality. Lots of 3-d boxes and stick figures. I drew Bill D. Catt a lot as well….. Dont be dissing Bloom County.

From my understanding, pinot blanc is a derivation of pinot gris (which itself is derived from pinot noir) – is this right? I had a pretty decent Alsatian pinot blanc the other day – not spectacular, but very pleasing. Very banana-ish on the nose. Classic grass/grapefruit/melonish. Good mouthfeel, evident alcohol content but the fruitiness balanced things out really well.

And as a super-late answer to the QOD – PIRATE SHIPS AND NINJA TURTLES, duh.

Pinot Gris is my new love. Thanks for this episode. Tonight I tried the Schoffit 2004 Tokay Pinot Gris Colmar – from Alsace. Very beautiful! Had it with hot dogs with the works. :)

used to doodle these huge battle scenes, a la GI Joe, but 50 years in the future. Of course, american flags all over the victors.

quick question while I’m still watching this episode: Is it my imagination, or do I see more screw caps on pinot gris and sauvignon blanc than on other varietals? Why have these two seemed to overcome the stigma easier than others?

QOTD: Strangely enough, I doodled and drew pictures of the janitor at our school as a superhero and formed them into comic books. However, we didn’t portray him as a hero, it was more of a stab at him. I had a strange imagination as a kid…

QOTD: What did I draw in class??? Hmm, random nothings that could pass as abstract art today….hmmm. Wonder what it’s worth??? The doodle of someone famous>?

Love the shows. Question: Do you taste all the wines at room temparature? Do you chill the whites and taste the reds at 65 degrees? I have found some whites (Sauvignon Blancs) change flavor as they become more room temp. Thanks for changing my wine world.

Gary- I’m a lurker no more. I’m a newbie to the site and love it. I’ve been going the archives in reverse order.

QOTD: I drew Heavy Metal logos. Twisted Sister was my favorite (my intials!)

Gary, Thanks for taping all these shows before you left. I would’ve understood if there wasn’t one for every day you’re gone but it was awfully nice of you.

    QOTD: 3D buildings…only thing I can draw.

Interesting show today. I’m still catching up on eps since I’ve been out of town.

QOTD: I was not an artist by any means, but I loved to draw horses and dogs. I wasn’t into that fru-fru girlie stuff.

Thanks to the shout-out to us redheads! ;)

QOTD- I used to doodle Michael Jordan’s “23″ jersey.

Well, I DO like redheads! Yummy!

QOTD: Mostly doodlings built without any form in mind. Every once in a while I’d draw a stick figure sitting on an island and fishing under an appletree.

QOTD: My artistic skills leave something to be desired… like a 3 year old desiring to finally get the legs right on his/her stick figure. So most of my doodles were just that… doodles. Spirals that turned into tornadoes, 5 and 7 point stars, geometric shapes and scratches. I could draw one thing… a furry thing that sort of looked like a tribble crossed with a furby.

Thanks for the Gris episode, the wife is certainly gonna appreciate that one. As for the QOTD? Cars, spaceships, superheroes and boobies.

Interesting episode. I admit, I am araid of Pinot Gris because of the Grigio thing. I’ll have to try some tastings.

QOTD – Zip, zero, no artistic talent.
