    QOTD: Fractals. Nothing naughty.

I would draw googily eye monsters on landscapes. And then we would draw heavily fortified military bases on hills with giant cannons.
    Couldn’t ignore it…sorry.
I would say keep doing new wines unless there is something absolutely amazing that you’ve had that you have to let us know about….under $10 of course *laugh*

QOTD: I tried to fill every inch with ink.

Gary, great QOTD. I used to doodle incessantly during class, especially around 2nd grade (that would have been about 1977 or 1978?). I always doodled the floating cities from those Boston album covers. And Star Wars stuff like the Death Star and light sabers. Junk like that. Oh yeah, and cartoon characters and anything that sort of looked 3D was cool, especially writing out names and words in 3D.

Sorry, but I’d rather have a Corona than a pinot gris. Race cars …

I’ve never had a good pinot gris, but have tried about ten. I still have my doubts after this episode.

QOTD: helicopters – remeber airwolf? You know you watched it.

Suggestion: you’re looking a little tired already. Next time you tape a bunch of shows, NO SPITTING. Episode 12, “Gary Falls out of His Chair” and episode 14 “Gary Pukes in the Spit Bucket” will be new classics.

I have an Italian Pinot Grigio ready to open, it Sudtirol so I’m expecting more Pinto Gris characteristics (semantically speaking) – hopefully no cauliflower in that one.

“Rockets, I want plenty of Rockets”. MASH.

And Brazil have equalised in the dying minutes to bring it to a disappointing 1-1 draw, we was robbed!

    Gary,

Good News or Bad News… maybe both.

My divorce is finalized June 21.

So…I plan on going somewhere in the world that weekend and experience some new wines.

QUESTION OF THE DAY… I can get you a Delta Buddy Pass to fly anywhere in the world almost, in Business Class Elite for under 300 bones round trip. Would you want to take a loyal viewer on a wine weekend expo?

Pinot Gris tends to be off my radar for the following reasons:
My mind associates it with generic Pinio Grigios.
I have found it to be unpredictable/unexciting at
times and do not want to take a chance.
However, the 2005 Epiphany -Goodchild Vineyard from Santa Maria Valley
was quite good–I gave away much at Christmas and it was enjoyed by all.
    Thanks again GV.

Nice show. Big fan of Van Duzer Gris from Oregon. QOTD: boobs

QOTD: I drew ever expanding geometric patterns on my notes in class. In later years if I was REAL bored I would write out lyrics to songs like “Hotel California”.

I would not mind some shows to be about wines you recommend. Maybe you could keep it to 1 a month or 1 a quarter as you could do more wines in one of those episodes.

In class, as a kid, I drew jets. Now don’t get too excited; I mean the kind that fly and shoot at other jets.

An excellent insight on the Pinot Gris trying to be Chardonnay. Keep unmasking those impostors.

    GV,
Lot of passes today. Oh well, will wait for the Pinot Grigio episode.
QOTD: “Rockets, I want plenty of Rockets”.
BTW, what TV show is this line from, and who said it.

Love the gris. QOD: I drew a lot of geometric shapes, 3-d stuff, little skill, lots of ink.

QOTD: interestingly enough I didn’t draw much in childhood I picked it up much later.

Pinot G: Can’t remember my last one, to be completely honest, but will indulge this w.e. Also, re: the ABC News thang, we need to let folks know what’s up here at WLTV that it’s not just cat pee and big league chew (although there is that!). Anyway, I’m heading over to set ‘em straight! They didn’t say anything about WL and how it was trailblazing in Internet wine sales. I have to say, I thought the piece was a little like a $20 bottle of sterling cab: okay for what it is, but disjointed, uneven, and a bit heated. It’s like: “YEAH. He’s the BAD BOY of the wine world!!” And yeah, he is, but he’s also a market-savvy oenophile business dude who knows his stuff. But the dirt and Cristal chaser is more salacious and sells, guess. Okay, dirt and Cristal as a chaser does pretty much *rock*… :D

    Gary,

Enjoyed the show as always. QOTD: I drew a very poor apple in kindergarten and was traumatized that my classmates made fun of it.

I will definitely give Pinot Gris a try. My wife is a white wine fan, but I need to expand my mind a little in terms of white wine. I am definitely tired of mediocre Chardonnay.

    Thanks for the info.

QOTD: I used to draw policemen, soldiers, cowboys, athletes, planes, cars, and ships, I could never draw worth a damn. I probably figured that out around age 7. When they made me draw after that, I stuck to Jackson Pollock-esque abstract stuff.

I prefer the Benton Lane Pinot Noir, personally.

    QOTD: I wasn’t much of a drawer…just a dreamer. Still true.

    Karl Laczko

QOTD – didn’t, my drawing sucks more than that Magyar Pinot Gris, much better with words.

Oh, and England have just scored againt Brazil, John Terry, 68th minute free kick. (Real) Football rules!
