Bought my first bottle of Pinot Grigio Today but have not cracked it yet.

QOTD: I tended to draw stars, stickmen and many Anarchy symbols in High School

QOTD: Boxes, stick figures, nothing. I couldn’t draw well, so I didn’t like doing it.

When I was in Kindergarten, I heard we were going to be drawing little umbrellas, so I told the Principal I was sick, ran home and crawled in bed with the dog. 5 years old.

    Next question, please!!

Way to hang in through the Marathon taping….!

    QOTD Dinosaurs…

My thought is a format similar to what usually goes on on WLTV…Selecting a group of wines beginning with lower price point and going up…maybe 3-4 wines per episode, one at under $10, the under $20ish then 25-40, then over 40…and tasting them.Covers different budgets and tastes and gives people who normally shop under $10 for a bottle something to shoot for within the same varietal.(I’m STILL reeling from the two buck chuck episode. How painful!!!)

Thanks to Grasshopper for the ABC link. Congratulations once again GV!

    GV,

What’s the deal with only the right sleeve rolled up? Showing off the wristband or is it all the heavy lifting taping multiple shows?

Cork’d is screwed (pun intended) registered yesterday still waiting for my validation email. Tried to reregister and both the username and email are already in use (presumably by me albeit sans validation).

QOTD – blood, if you’re going to do something commit fully.

Nice show, Gary. Forgive me for getting all nitpicky, technical, and wine-geeky on you, but… Pinot Gris isn’t really a clone of Pinot Noir, it is a mutation. A clone is a replica produced from cuttings or buds. So, a clone of Pinot Noir, can only be Pinot Noir. A mutation is something that happens spontaneously and usually naturally (it can be done in the lab). Typically, grape mutations involve red grapes losing the color of their skins, like Pinot Noir to Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. I’m currently studying for the Certified Specialist of Wine exam, so this stuff is just oozing out of my head, sorry.

    QOTD: dragsters, planes, spaceships, classmates

Kathy: We need to talk. If you have a minute, visit my website and send me an email. Thanks.

Not a big PG fan but it is good to be diverse, that’s what keeps the show fresh, I did enjoy the grey poupon skit!

QOTD-3D houses and boxes and many stick figures as well as cars, lots of cars!! Also I would draw the Flyers logo on everything, I am as big a phila flyers fan as you are a Jets fan!!

Maybe it’s weird, but one of the aspects I’m getting in most of Pinot Gris is “bread crust”. Not that american-style white sliced sandwich, which they do call bread, but good-old european bread (e.g. http://www.marions-kochbuch.com/food-pic/black-forest-country-bread.jpg). Am I the only one getting such an aspect?

QOTD: Wine glasses! Oh and spirals and funny faces too. When I was really young I tried to draw unicorns but they sucked so I gave up.

    Gary,
I drew flowers. Little daisies everywhere. And bunnies.
Thanks for the pinot gris episode.

I always agree with those ABC (anything but Chardonnay) people, and tell them I also have a blanket predjudice for all versions of that varietal, instead enjoying a nice glass of Klevner, Feinburgunder or Morillon.

I guess one COULD do about 3 minutes of stand up comedy on that. I’d be laughing!

QOTD: Like Randy B above, I drew Army men in pitched battles, planes dropping bombs. On occasion I’d try to draw a bunny or a hornet. Couldn’t….

QOTD I drew football helmets with my colored pencil set.

Nice shirt. Have I seen it before?
    Just bustin’…..
The Pinot Gris are drinking better for the hot weather than those pinkies (Rose wines) you served up a few days ago.

@Gary V. – You know I love the show and I watch it religiously but – man – can you please open up a thesaurus and look-up “intriguing”; you use that word so much it’s stating to loose all of its meaning. Seriously! Let’s look for some alternatives, huh?

A(nswer)otD: I drew dragons and skulls on my desk all the time. I don’t know how many times I got busted for that. You’d think I’d learn my lesson, but no…
