Yes, please do a pinot grigio episode as quickly as you can. It will be great to compare this episode with the pinot gris vs the episode with the pinot grigio. New world vs old world?

QOTD: Peanuts charactors and the starship Enterprise.

“NO I dont hate PG, just bad PG which is 90%” Sorry, GV. I thought I heard you say some rather scathing remarks in another WLTV episode regarding PG. Anyway, have fun in Sam fran and Greece! Later…

It’s two cent time from a lurker, nice episode on Pinot Gris. Love your enthusiastic energy, gets me all excited about wines.

While watching the episode on the Oregon Pinot it reminded me about a bottle I received from a friend years ago. Went to the basement to see if it was still there and low an behold I found it. Guess what, it was a Oregon 2000 vintage Pinot Gris from King Estate.

Later in the day a friend and I opened it, I’d have to say I was a little wary about drinking an older white wine but it really wasn’t that bad, it had a real smooth aged finish.

My quotes on this will be posted on Cork’d.

My question to you Gary is how long should a Vayniac age a white wine before it goes to that wine heaven in the sky? Or in my case, in that barrel of other bad wine to go through my distiller.

QOTD: Deer and other game, but mostly antlered deer. What’s amazing about that is I still have the pictures from grade school.. 40 YEARS AGO WOW!

Have fun on your journeys, can’t wait to here all your stories..

when i was “small” I drew fire engines…

ps. great episode, i’d be really interested in knowing, what regulations are imposed on wine in different countries, such as e.g. mixing wines, adding sugar or other additives etc.

QOTD: I drew Buck Rogers spaceships, the lunar lander and moon craters mainly, tried to perfect the LA Rams helmet until the N.O. Saints came into the picture, then it was fleur de lis. Oh – did I just date myself???

Now I’ll have to go out and get a Pinot Gris to wash my sorrow away.

My family is from Hungary (my dad was born there). I’m really interested in trying the Nyakas, even though it didn’t get the best review. It was funny that I was thinking about trying it out because of my dad even before you mentioned “trying your heritage”. :)

QOTD: I guess I drew what all kids drew: a small house with too big stick figure family members and a sun that was so close it would incinerate the Earth. :) I liked to draw cars, too.

very detailed drawings of battles from the Civil War. Yeah, I know… it’s weird. Deal with it.

I love bearing all…my wife, the art psychotherapist, told me after nine years of marriage (which was the first time she had ever seen the artwork I drew as a child) that she would have never married me had she seen it previously. What can I say? I was the youngest of eight Catholic children, which gives me TWO things to work out for the rest of my life.

On a side note, we serve MacMurray wines at work, and I am not only heartily impressed by their efforts compared to price point (PQR), but I was a huge fan of My Three Sons in my younger years.

QOTD: I didn’t draw too much, but my lovely fiancee drew eyes, ponies, and people doing gymnastics(she actually was an art major.)

QOD: I had aspirations of becoming an art major so I had some pretty profound doodles…some abstract tonal puzzle piece expressions, portraits, caricactures and nature sketches.

I finally caught up with the current episode. I first learned about WLTV when you did the Diggnation episode and Kevin & Alex mentioned it but I was behind on watching the Diggnation episodes so by the time I subscribed to WLTV, I was like 8-10 episodes behind.

Newbie questions that you may have already addressed:
Do you make any effort to control the temperature of the wines you are tasting? If so, what are your target temps. for white vs. red? Do you use different temps. for different varietals?

I have seen several different types of stemware with no particular pattern to when they appear. Do you feel the stemware has any influence on the taste of the wine?

Minor nit: I watch the shows in iTunes so your habit of pointing to links that aren’t there is a little annoying. Do you expect everyone to watch on the website? Do you have any stats on the number of website watchers vs. RSS feed watchers?

QOTD: Dinosaurs, cars, and stuff. Though, I just graduated from art school last month, so you can see what I was drawing on my website.

I was wondering if there was a place in Los Angeles that someone could recommend to go to and learn more. I’m still new to the wine world.

Awesome episode! Nice to see the variety.

QOTD: I didn’t draw in class, I was too busy passing notes in class telling boys whether or not I would “go steady” with them. And notes to the girls about what we should wear to the roller rink on Saturday night if I was able to sneak out of my room. I was a little (coughing) underage.

Cork’d fine now, validation email found in spam filter.

The nerve of Yahoo to relegate a GV associated email/site with the penis enlargers, Viagra and lottery emails form small African nations! Well, I never!

QOD: a lot of little boys drew military scenes with planes and bombs dropping and tanks and stickmen – whole battlefields (in the 50’s).
Was this the cold war mentality? Haven’t thought of that in 50 years!

Gary: just something to add (just one little voice) to your comment list.

I think Pinot Gris/Grigio might just be too acidic for my liking, but I’ll keep trying.

Best Redhead: Angie Everhart, hot supermodel.

QOTD: Some spaceship from a cartoon I used to watch, but it’s killing me because I can’t remember the name.

Agreed on the “richness” of the MacMurray Pinot Gris, but still a fabulous drink!
