I used to draw the space shuttle. Don’t know why but I would draw that damn thing all the time. Didn’t like to draw more of a writer but that is the one thing I would draw all the time.

I was a Beatle nut from the time I was 10 so I drew their logo from the early days (think Ringo’s drum kit). In high school I drew the University of Arizona “A” logo, once I knew I wanted to go there.

I drew lots of houses and trees, and horses, here and there. I knew I’d never be an artist, unless you call drawing stick figures art!
Liked the Pinot Gris episode! Enjoyed Benton Lane myself.

Not much of a drawer. The high point of my artistic career was winning a drawing contest in 2nd grade. I drew an airplane. Since then its been pretty much right brain activity. Good show! Saw the article in the New York magazine. Keep it up.

Nice show G, I’m going to try to make my way to one of those Oregon pinot gris’ (I’m not a huge fan of stinky feet). Have a nice trip-

QOTD: I didn’t draw as much as I practiced forging signatures (started by learning both my parents’ for days I skipped then moved to celebs). Other than that I would draw random things around me, like backpacks, the pencil sharpener, chalkboard tray with eraser, etc.

Always wondered if Gris = Grigio so was definitely and interesting video to watch.

Nice episode, interesting to here some facts on the grapes. How come there´s no Pinot Gris (pee-no-grr-ee) in Burgundy, or is there?

I know that Pinot Gris is how they say it in Alsace, and Pinot Grigio is how they say it in Trentino. But, last time I checked they still call it Chardonnay in Pouilly-Fuissé.
Also, since Alsace is the home of Pinot Gris could you have put in a wine from the homeland?

Pinot gris: Now that I know how to pronounce it (I thought it was pee-no griss) I’ll have to give it a taste.

QOTD: First, it’s cool to read what everyone used to draw. I used to draw bug eyed flies, race cars with gigantic engines, 3-d boxes and when I learned about perspective I went crazy with that. I don’t draw well, but we should all draw anyway!

GV your right about the Benton Lane, the 2005 is really good and most other years are good for there price. Now the Huia, I try to sell a lot of it at the store I work so people can try something new but you are right, the price is way to high. The do make one of the best gewurztraminer outside of Alsace though.

QOTD: I used to draw logos of terrible Punk bands with a marker on my Jansport backpack that I wore over one shoulder, I was the most Punk rock kid that ever went to school in Boca Raton, FL.

Great episode. Love the Benton-Lane. Add another request for some Alsacians, though, definitely my favorites. I’m a fan of Navarro Vineyard’s PG as well, although it’s a bit pricey ($18 I think) for what it is for me to drink it too often.

QOTD: I used to draw complex open puzzle rooms for a person to make their way through, with multiple levels. Things like swinging ropes, crocodiles, pit traps, and tools for them to get past certain things. Too much time playing the original Prince of Persia, perhaps? Possibly? Potentially? I also remember liking to draw my hand a lot. I’m not sure why. I think it was one of the only things from life I could ever get to look right, and I remember other people having trouble drawing hands, so I was very proud of that.

I think you’re a stud. And I think you need to have your own show on tv. Girls would love it and my guy friends love you too…

That Benton Lane sounds right up my alley – love those zingy whites.

    QOTD: several doodling phases…
    1. swords (D&D dork back then)
    2. little skateboarding halfpipe scenes with stick-figure skaters
    3. late in h.s. I would draw one continuous sqiggly line that filled the page and never crossed itself.

    Great Pinot Gris episode.

I liked to draw stick figures across multiple pages so you could flip them and watch a little cartoon.

You should show one of your Barts on the board to show off your artistic talent.

Great episode! Right on with the Benton-Lane Pinot Gris. One of my favorite dry whites when I’m THIRSTY! Great on a hot and humid day with a light meal. When is the Alsace review coming?

I drank my first pinot grigios about ten years ago when my (then) girlfriend’s mother drank them. Can’t drink them anymore because of her.

I drew band logos/names on my Trapper Keeper.

QOTD: Do you remember Pee Chee folders? If you didn’t grow up west of the Mississippi (or even wester) you probably don’t but I mostly corrupted the jocks on my Pee Chee folders, i.e. gave them mohawks or had the defender stabbing the guy who was going up for a lay-up. I drew stuff like that.
