The NSA’s alarms are going off with all this talk of Dirty Bombs! Nonetheless, toss me in the heap with all the Dirty Bombers.

    I’m a dirty-bombing viticultural terrorist.

GVNC, great job! I would say I am a bomb with a small handful of dirt thrown on it.

Your stamina is unparalleled. You have set the bar quite high for yourself sir.

QOTD: Time and a place. Since I drink red wine mostly in the context of a meal i am not a fan of total taste the rainbow fruit bombs.

I know heavy ML and oak treatment on Chardonnay is considered New World/fruit bomb, but is there a “New World” analogy for riesling? Especially since New World rieslings, such as from Australia, tend to be drier than their German counterparts.

I’d have to say that I walk the line. I am a true dirty bomb…. And I seem to be getting dirtier all the time.

I’ve been drinking wine for about 2 years now. I’ve always been a bomb as you put it. Trying to reach out to the old world. Maybe you could do an episode of old world wine for new world drinkers? I’m trying to reach out. I seem to make alot of bad choices. Like that 2004 cols st. jean chat. du pape. 91 pts. WS. Well, it sucked. Any way great episode.,-D

A Great Show! 16th century old world fan here. This had to be one of your best, Frazier 15th round, left hook to the jaw, lifted him off his feet as he went down! Awesome!

Gary- Thanks for taping all the shows. UR the best!

QOTD- Dirty Bomb. I started in the dirt, went for the bomb, now heading more and more back to the dirt. It’s great!

GV is awesome! Thanks for pre-recording so many shows (in a row?) so we can watch new episodes while your away having fun.

Great point about a fruit bomb tasting the same at $20-15-12 as some that charge $77.

QOTD: Dirty bomb. If I’m not having the wine with food, maybe more of a bomb.

    Robin

QOTD: My husband and I have sweet tooths so we really appreciate the bombs. But we’re trying more of the dirty wines to get an appreciation of them. We’re always glad to see a little fruit though – shining through the dirt.

GV I hope you don’t get any flak for operating a site that keeps talking about “dirty bombs.” Hopefully Big Brother knows we are talking about wine and nothing else :) And by the way kudos for calling out the Australian wines – I agree 100%

Gary I’m a dirty Bomb – I tend to avoid Australia because most of the time I taste Yellow Tail. I’be been a drinking mostly Italian and French wines lately – so I’m leaning towards dirty.

Dirty, but I will agree with you Gary, that a bomb has a place now and again. But on any given day, I would rather have old world.

BA BA BA BOMB all the way . Like the fruit up front. But don’t get me wrong still like the dirty some times.

I hate manipulated wines be they Californian, Aussie OR Old World.
I’m dirty, man. Hate that word…subtle? balanced? elegant? great with food?
    Those are more like it!!!
