The Thing! Mighty Mouse, Hong Kong Fooey and maybe Atomic Ant were good too. (I think I just made up Atomic Ant).

First Tocai F. I had was from MILLBROOK winery in Hudson Valley, NY and it was an eye-opener. I think the grapes were from their vineyards in Italy. Good stuff Gary!

Good ep, GV. You are the man, and our energizer bunny!
QOTD: Plastic Man. Loved the spoof.

BTW, Trish-da’-Dish, I think the color blue of some post names is the WLTV system default for links. Why bother. You already light up the comments!

QOTD: My favorite super hero is, has always been, and always will be, the Incredible Hulk. The cheesy live-action show in the early 80s was my favorite thing on television starting when I was only three or four years old.

QOTD: Batman, Firestorm and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law are the best superheroes. Can’t pick just one varietal, and I can’t pick just one hero.

QOTD – The Green Hornet. I always loved his sidekick-the huge Asian guy with the derby, what was his name again?? Koto?

Great ep. Hope to try some someday..

what I like about your show G is that it’s not just about opening bottles and giving scores, it’s more about wine education, which you deliver superbly…Keep the new stuff rolling..
Fo superheros, mine has to be the adventureous Belgian journalist Tin Tin.

    Cheers,

I just finished watching the Barolo episode. Are you rich? How do you afford to drink such much wine every other day? Also, how older are you? You don’t appear old enough to remember wines from the 80’s. (I’m a lurker. Sorry if you’ve already covered this)

QOTD: “Under Dog” Is here to save the day! Who can resist a dog that can fly and wares a super-hero uniform. Gary, you may not know the cartoons I watched, color TV was the new thing back then.

I haven’t tried the friulano. I did go out and get some Muscadet and was immediately addicted, thanks for that education. THOR is the superhero that brings the thunder, old world style.

QOTD: I agreed with one of the earlier comments. Vegeta is my hero. Altough i was a little old to watch DGZ at that time, i coudn’t resist but to watch those amazing fights he did against the villans. And he was the most carismatic.

Yo’, Raffi! How did you colorize your post? Please share. Can you do blue, green, red, yellow, etc.?

    Raffi

Enjoy your time off and re-energize.

I have to go with Tom. The Batman. He’s rich, gets the girls, and he still kicks some tail even though he doesn’t have to. But not the fruity stuff from the 60s.

I also liked the Beetle. Serious smart@ss

I always liked the way that Dr. David Banner would morph into the Incredible Hulk when he got mad….he was a great superhero because he always put mean bullies into their rightful place! Plus—I liked that whole busting out of his shirt and pants thing. I couldn’t figure out how they staged that artful clothes ripping until I was almost an adult!

    Hey GV

Flash Gordon…I think mainly because of that awesomely bad movie in the 80’s. haha

    Hope the vacation is rockin’

Dude, contiuning to bring the thunder after 11????? You’re my real life super hero but in the fantasy world, how can one top:

a mild mannered humble and lovable shoeshine boy who ducks into telephone booths (okay a bit dated) destroys it when he emerges caped and ready to take action (with a little pill assist)and destroy those nasty villians (with a tad collateral damage) while defending Sweet Polly Purebred, voiced by Wally Cox, speaks in rhyme and is a DOG to boot????

I am a hero who never fails.
I cannot be bothered with these details.

When Polly’s in trouble, I am not slow,
So it’s hip! hip! hip! and away I go.

When criminals in this world appear,
And break the laws that they should fear,
And frighten all who see or hear,
The cry goes up both far and near for
    Underdog!

There’s no need to fear, Underdog is here.

Not bird, not plane, not even frog, it’s just little old me, (at this point, Underdog crashes into something) Underdog.

Come on,dude, who can top that?

Gary–thanks for doing all these episodes in on sitting. We could have survived withou…actually, whom I kidding…we do need an episode a day!

I used to read Defenders comic books. Remember the 100th issue–Hell on Earth. Hard to believe, but the Defenders did save the world. And kudos to those of you who voted for Buffy. My wife got me hooked on the series. What, is there a problem with that? We drank riuniti on ice and cheered wildly when our hip vamp fighter permanently closed down the hell mouth. (maybe i’m just drawn to fights with hell.)

Enjoy your last few days of ouzo and grilled octopus, Gary!

Good show. How about turning folks on to Campania with Aglianico and Falanghia. Probably spelled those wrong but anyway, enjoy your shows very much.
