Gary, I like the price range you are tasting in. I am always on the look-out for that gem in the $10-$20 range and wines you don’t find at the local supermarket. Thanks.

QOTD: Not much I would do for an iPhone. It is kind of like a Ferrari. Sure it would be cool to have but, I couldn’t afford to keep it. Rather spend the $ for the service on wine :)

I’d challenge my man (Gary, you know who I mean) to a CrackBerry vs iPhone smack-down and make his thumbs bleed. Two years of endless “multi-tasking” I have suffered; the man must pay.

Them that can’t, teach. Them that can’t teach, sell real estate. Them that can’t sell real estate, claim to be wine experts.

QOTD: iPhone? Who needs it? Current cell phone works just fine.

Gary- Many congrats to Erik and Amy on young Danika. Welcome!

QOTD- Not much interest in the iPhone. Just another over-hyped $600 gadget.

How many people are watching WLTV now…..your becoming bigger than Oprah!
QOTD – No $600 phone in the Hizzy for me…..I’d take a crap for it though.

free iphone? I might watch a WLTV marathon of all 268 episodes…. I do actually want one, flaws and all. Of course, once Apple releases software updates, it will just get better and better………

    QoD – For a free iphone ? ……. I’m not above begging. (j/k)

I was sorry to see that the 2005 Pablo Menguante Tempranillo showed so poorly. I haven’t tried it, but I was planning to ….. I enjoy their Grenache, and was hoping the Tempranillo would live up to it.

Lightning bugs and chocolate… I will have to try that.

    QOTD: nothing – no need.

I meant to ask if you’d tried the Crios de Susana Balbo 2004 Mendoza Syrah-Bonarda blend. I read about this wine and it seemed like it would be a delicious blend. Not a QPR at $17, but a nice fruit bomb waiting to explode on your palate.

Looks like Chili beat Spain today. Too bad, because I really enjoy a nice Tempranillo. The Montes Alpha Syrah sounds good and I’d like to try a Carmenere.

QOTD: If I had an iPhone I’d get some glasses for it. In reality, I’d have to get a part time job to pay for the phone and the service plan.

QOTD: Major pazzzz for me, QPR not in the ballpark.

South American wines have not been a big part of my wine venturing, but I will look for the Casa Silva. Sounds interesting.

Cool show. Loved the lightning bug tasting note.

QOTD: I don’t even have an iPod yet.

QotD: I’d say, “Hey Gary, gimme your iPhone.”

Seriously, I’d do some silly stuff maybe, but nothing crazy. Not really that interested, I’m still using the free phone Sprint gave me.

I’ve been meaning to grab a wine from chile! I will definitely seek out a Carmenere. It’s funny how my taste in wine has changed so dramatically from when I first started to actually TASTE wine and learn about it to now. I would’ve been all over that syrah because it’s familiar. Now I find myself going instead for the things I haven’t ever tried. I noticed you mentioned something about decanting the 1st wine for an hour or two. Did you not decant that one??? Or did you just mean, after your taste of it, that it would NEED that decanting (which you’ve done) to appeal to a larger number of people?

QOTD: meh, I don’t think I’d do anything to crazy for an iPhone. Not something I’d buy for myself however, getting one for free doesn’t sound to bad lol. Seems like it’s overpriced and overhyped.

GV, love the three wine format, keep it up. It’s good for the short attention span that me and my fellow ‘Nintendo Generation’ peeps share.

QOD: I will not buy an iPhone. I do not want an iPhone. However, I see the iPhone as a step in the right direction for the future. It packs a lot of features for communication and multimedia into one slim device. Honestly, I think we need a major leap forward in battery technology before ANY of these devices can really do what we want them to do ALL of the time. We also need a faster, cheaper, and more widely distributed network to run these devices on. We need to be on one network, THE network, and that network does not yet exist. We need to be interconnected on a personal level and not limited by whatever corporation we favor at the moment. This product is a good start, but it’s only a starting point. There will be much better and even more intuitive and innovative products in the not so distant future. So, I will not run backwards through a cornfield naked for an iPhone, ever.

QOTD: I would buy more Carmenere ;)

    mmmmmmmmmmm lightining bugs!

QOTD: I would roll up 36 quarters and throw them at people. :)

QOTD: I’d change the wine world for one.
