Neil — only die hard Jet fans use sniffyshiff and rinsyrinse. What team would ever have a QB named Chad?

After viewing approximately 100 episodes in the past month, this was the one that got me to leave a comment. The last two minutes ranks as the single best moment of this glorious show, and maybe in the top three best things I’ve ever heard anyone say on the subject of wine.

    That was effing amazing.

You seem a bit down. Trouble at home? Office? Bathroom?

Dude that was the thunder show. I thought for a moment you were going to flip out of the screen and exlpode like John Belushi used to on SNL’s weekend update. Loved the energy. I do agree with Brandon M (dude where’s the camera???) Sniffy Sniff is a bit too much for me. Rinsy Rinse is also up there. Should die hard Jet’s fans use rinsy and sniffy in conversation?

    Have a greaty great weekend.

Fn great episode! I love it! I’m with you man, at least on the 365 thing. But not on the Cork’d thing. Yep I’m one of the haters. Go ahead prove us wrong.

First time I’ve seen a wine on here that I’ve tried before it was on here. The Nimbus was one of the first Blanc’s I ever had. Couldn’t agree more on the peppers… ‘nother one I liked: Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc I think it was a 2005, but I don’t recall. Very very nice. A touch too sweet, but give it a shot.

i confess ive bought the same bottle of wine more than once but they were not that expensive and they were soooo good.QOTD-dont think i can try a new wine every day of the year even at 10-12 bones a bottle i dont think i can affored it but i feel your calling to buck up and experience new things but why limit it to wine people should try new foods as well.

Ok, so now that I have actually WATCHED the episode… holy cow GV, you are a passionate man…. oh and possibly on the verge of blowing a gasket if you don’t calm yourself down!!! No red bull, I question that??

Fantastic episode. Totally seeking out the first two wines (possibly for our Grand Opening).

QOTD: Well, since the spa is opening in late Sept and we have wine tastings on our schedule of events for once a week, plus needing to develop our various bottles for that week…. 365 shouldn’t be a problemo! Count me and the staff in!

Ps- Thanks for mak’n it fun Gary! AND KEEP IT COMING!!!

    Geeeeee Veeeee!!!!

You tell ‘em baby!!! You brought a tear to my eye with your rant at the end!!! Great show!

QOTD: I think all I can do is 1 wine every other day. So, 182 will have to do.

Holy schnikies GV! Crystal Meth is not recommended before going on air. Great show though, loved it to the bone. I was just talking about what kind of Chilean whites are out there, looking to start a Don Melchor night off with the regions white. Now I have some, thanks man.
QOTD: I do it every Sunday at my version of church, ISG wine fundamentals II, we taste like 15-20 wines a day. Agreed, no better way to be a true wine con. taste as much as possible.

    Cheers!

Three down and 362 to go…not bottles but different wine.

Fantastic show today man! That whole nuking thing really makes you go hmmmm doesn’t it wow. If it wasn’t for your efforts and your enthusiastic encouragements for us to get out there and TASTE TASTE TASTE as many different wines as possible I don’t think I would’ve. In the last year I really have widened my appreciation for wine of MANY styles. Heck I was so dead against whites lol until I looked for some obscure and different whites then what my mom always put down on the table!

QOTD: I can’t promise, but I’ll give it my best shot!

Intense attitude and episode! I love value, Thank you! for giving your 2 cents on these wines.
QOTD.. I have had 95% of the varietals you have tasted on the show, and the diversity of wines you taste & score is excellent, but 365 different wines in one year is a little much. I will be open minded and try new things, but 365 wines this year is too much for me.

Brilliant show, you weren’t joking about not needing red bull!

QOTD: I’ll will try my utmost!

365 is not a problem. This is a good way to commit myself to getting to some tastings.

Gary V brought the thunder today!

QOTD: man that 365 day things is going to be hard, at 150 calories per 6 ounces (X2 for 2 glasses, thats 300 cals.) thats how much calories i have to cut from my diet in order to adjust for the wine calories :)

tell you what, there is a tasting event in San Francisco this August, there are 403 wineries participating, many of them are bringing more than one varietal. I’ll go on a speed tasting rampage and see if I can build my cache of tasting :) for the year

nice show btw, nice to see the couch back in the show.

  23. July 13, 2007

    Autoproxy

I’m game for around 300. 365? That’s a little too much to ask for.

  24. July 13, 2007

QOTD: GV! Found a small winery 5-6 miles from my house in Guasti/Ontario, California. $5 for 5 sips. 10 Whites and sparkle sparkles, 8 reds, and 10 sherries, brandies and snow cone syrup…wait, I mean port. 365 wines in 73 days. Time to bring the thunder!
Watched episode 1-20 today (in addition to this one) and you’ve really hit your stride as of late. Doesn’t get much better than this. Great show

Love the passion Gary. Keep it up! The Rhone Rebels (btw) are absolute steals at $6 and $8 and are worthy of a WLTV episode.
