Man, I almost don’t want to leave a comment cause if you get any more energized it’s going to be scary. But qotd: I love it. I’ve got a t-shirt shop and I’m going to “challenge” all my customers to wear a different one every day for 365 days!

Gary unbelievable …Your on fire, you nailed it drinking is knowledge.I’ve done my fair share of reading on wine and have learned alot from it,but it not untill I had begun drinking different wines did any of the information I had read truley sink in.The only way to know wine is to drink it.Right on GV you’ve brought the thunder.Incredible show today…QOTD Step up to the plate?you know it,I’m ready and will, follow it on cork’d..

Oh man. I was a OSW but your rant at the end of this episode was frickin EPIC, absolutely EPIC! Definitely the WLTV’s St. Crispin’s Days speech.

BIG G.!! FAN-FREAKIN’-TASTIC rant at the end of the show.

QOTD: Ok- if you check the comment record books, you’ll find that I’ve mentioned more than once that I have NEVER purchased any wine twice for my own personal drinking (I’ve only bought a handful of wines a second time as a gift for someone else because I knew that it was good). This also proves that I am NOT a OSW (one shot wonder). SOOO- I am SO ready to try 365 wines per year and NEVER buy a wine twice for myself, EVER! There is just TOO much different wine out there to not try it all.
You know what I popped open tonight- A CAHORS! Have I ever had a Cahors before? NO! Was it a great value that I liked and am glad that I took Big G.’s advice about this region? ABSOLUTELY! Will I go back to my neighborhod wine shop and buy it again? NOOO! Because there is still SO MUCH more VALUE and DIVERSITY with this VINO that we love so well to get stuck buying the same stuff over an over.

THANK YOU, BIG G., for your inspiration, and I will continue to TRY NEW THINGS every time I go back to my wine shop. There’s so much more out there for me to discover.

I didn’t come along till the ‘new days,’ with the Forums all up & running.
So to me, this is a novelty.
But you’re right about all the newbies in Show Comments.
    Who ARE these Vayniacs?!

    Laid Back Friday is back!

Perhaps the finish on today’s episode was the most interesting yet. Like an old world east bank bordeaux on the palate that finishes like an Australian Shiraz.

QOTD: my goal is 100 wines a year

Don’t pop a vein Gare. And don’t tell me that reading books on wine doesn’t help after you’ve tasted a few dozen. Are you this hyper at home too?

QOTD….Well I’d love to drink 365 wines this year..however…I’m usually drinking alone…so I’m afraid I’d have to enroll in a 12 step afterwards!!!

I’m with Ryan in looking for 375 ml bottles. Actually, I’d like to see 500 ml replace the 375s. We used to enjoy them in Europe where they were widely available (a “few” years ago). 375 leaves you feeling a bit short, but 750 is too much for a couple and one meal. 500 ml was perfect. Had I been 1% as passionate about bringing them to North America as GV is about (anything), we might all have that option every day now.

That was without question, THE best rant ever! I know I am up to trying 365 wines this year………but my wallet is not! I need me some Beckham money!

Just the perfect way to kick off the weekend—thanks, Gary! For the passion and the dedication and the knowledge you keep putting out there. The Golden Age of WLTV is here… long may it reign.

    QOTD: Deal me in.

    Tom (vtjones)

Damn Gary that is some serious passion.

QOTD: Not sure I will make 365 different wines but I make it a point to drift all over the place trying different wines thanks to you. Thanks Gary!
