The badge looks great on my myspace!

QOTD: Le Clos Jordanne, Claystone Terrace Pinot Noir. Who ever thought that Canadian wine was good? This wine blew me away an left me with “is it Old World, is it New world? I just don’t know.”

Awesome show today. I hadn’t seen any Amarones, so I’ll definitely be on the lookout.

QOTD: I’d like to see you taste the St. Clement 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley, not Oroppas or Star Vineyard), mainly because I’m drinking it now, and there’s a flavor that I KNOW I know, but I just can’t put my finger on it. It’s driving me crazy! :)

Finally got over my computr virus issues. I missed you over the last two weeks. I’ve spent a few evenings now catching up.

Good ep. Another wine I was not aware of. As you know, in the barren wine markets in Maine…. Maybe JJW, Jim, and Kirk will atest.

QOTD: I’m not going to suggest a wine. I have enjoyed the majority of the wines I’ve bought here, but I do not want to have you diss anything I’ve actually liked. My budget keeps me in the under $20 range, and you have not been kind to many in that price range. At least that’s what my perception and recollection is.

    Again, great show!

QOTD: Many people seem to add italian wines to the Friday list. So here’s another one: La Scolca Gavi Di Gavi Black Label 2005. Found it in your stock. Last time I had it was almost exactly seven years ago on our wedding. Never tried it again since then.

This is the first QOTD that has moved me to post a message. Now I can die knowing I am a one hit wonder. I think you should taste Donkey and Goat Rose. BTW, I love your show.

QOTD: I don’t like this wine at all, but a lot of people I talk to really enjoyed it. I would be interested to see what Gary thinks, but the wine is sold out at WL.

    GV,
Great episode, love the amarones, have several. I would have like to see you sample some of the Zenato, including the Sergio Zenato Riserva. I have found them to be very good. Yeah, they are expensive, but damn, some of them are worth it.

BTW, it can be Ripasso or Ripassa (Zenato has a great Ripassa 2003).

QOTD: Since we are on the topic of Amarones, I’d like to see you try the Masi Mazzano Amarone 1999, since I have ordered some of that and am hoping I didn’t do something stupid!

QOTD: I’m going to bring the thunder and give you all three of your wines for Friday’s show. The theme being “two heads are better than one”. There are some great partnerships in the wine world and these wines represent a few of those partnerships. (Plus the wine is in stock.)
