Bet you didn’t have to blow into a paper bag after this episode Gary, your GP will be most pleased.

I enjoyed seeing the calmer Gary… infact, the themed Gary show is a concept waiting to explode:

    Count Gary tastes wine (Dracular)
Pop queen Gary V tastes wine (Brittney Spears)
    Senater Vaynerchuck Tastes (politician)

    I would watch.

May I suggest that that pipe be filled with 80% Jamaican and 20% Hawaiian

    Sir Gary,

    QOTD
    65/35 R/W

You are the only British wine critic I’ve seen use the outlandish, vulgar American 100-point system. What would Michael Broadbent, Jancis Robinson, and Andrew Jefford (my personal favourite) say if they saw this show? Methinks that they would reject your Fellowship. I think that you, SIR Gary, should swithch over to the much more sophisticated and British 5-star system used by Decanter, the world’s greatest wine magazine. Another alternative would be the 20 point system enjoyed by those who are sophisticated and educated enough to read La Revue des Vins de France. One the whole however, you are a very welcome addition to what is otherwise a brash show which undertakes the very un-noble task of opening wine up to the “commoners.”

Oi. Clever, but I’m sure glad your show isn’t like that more than once every century. I had to skip ahead, sorry Gary, couldn’t take it!

    QOD – 50/50.

Truly outstanding work snobby Gary. What range Lord V has shown us. Perchance a spot on inside the actors studio or masterpiece theater is next. I can’t wait to collect the change from under the couch cushions and on the car floor to taste some of Charlemagnes wines. Maybe the Vatican will lend me his coat to wear while I drink.

QOTD: 80 to 20 red to white. Mostly champagne and sauvignon blanc.

    Brian K

    oh and we’re about 60/40 red/white.

    Sir Gary V. II,

Nice episode- very funny & very Wine Spectator. The Pretention & and the whole “I just came back from quail hunting” attitude was on point. Keep it up and Please Sir Gary V. II, do pay us another visit soon to remind us how we need not be. Cheers.

    QOTD: R90%/W10%.

re: QOTD – I go through phases of drinking reds and whites. I’m in a red phaase now, but just exited a great white phase where I tasted a lot of French, Spanish and Italian whites for the first time and really enjoyed them.

    Cheers

QOTD: a few months ago, I would have said 99% red, but my husband and I have been exploring whites and are finding more that we like. So. . . probably 70% red, 30% white now.

lol…What a goof ball!! Just be yourself Gary and to h**ll with the rest…

Guess I’m not much of a wine connoissuer to admit this, but for me its about 90% red to 10% white.
