85/15 and may we never see Sir V again…he definitely got in the way of the show. Sorry, but those are my 2 cents.

I was watching this episode from my yacht, stationed just outside of the Mediterranean Sea, while sipping pomegranate spritzers while my masseuse scratched my back.

65% Red 35% White (due mostly to BdB Champagne)

Magic. Gary, you’re classic. I haven’t laughed so hard since my Oxford days- driving around in my Jaguar, throwing pennies at poor people in Portobello market.

Stuff stuff-shirt Gary in a closest in some deep dark wine cellar!

    Sir Gary,

Great follow up to your earlier show…you’re welcome anytime.

QOTD: 98% Red / 2% White. I like white wine, especially Burgundy and certain Sauvignon Blancs, but I like red much better.

I honestly have no idea how you managed to keep a straight face throughout that entire show. You didn’t even crack a smile, even when you had phenomenal wines!

QOTD: I’m more of a white wine drinker, so for me it’s probably 80% white, 20% red.

Hehehehehe. Good chap, that Sir Gary.

QOTD: Right now it’s about 50/50. It’s hard to resist a nice, cool white on a hot summer day. The rest of the year, it’s maybe 65/35 or even 70/30. My mind has really opened up a lot in the past year, though. Used to drink reds 90% of the time, but I’ve discovered a lot of whites that I really enjoy too now, so I usually pick based on whether I’m in the mood for red or white, and what I think will taste good with whatever we’re having for dinner.

Finally, a little bit of class and sophication, the Sir is a nice intermezzo between the thunder, good time, cheery oh

“… While walking our dogs and shooting crows on the weekends…”

That’s good stuff. I enjoy Sir Gary – Let’s bring him back to the manor often.

Someone above noted he’s a little French, as portrayed by Boris Karloff and directed by Ed Wood, which all seems about right. Satire + Camp + Wine = Brilliant.

    Great ep.

    QOTD: 95% red, 4% white, 1% pink

Awesome Sir GV, a real treat to see some really sick wines getting tasted. I gotta try that Vincent Girardin, the description is exactly how I like my white burgundies.
    QOTD: Summer 50/50, winter 80/20

LOL – Excellent show Gary. I love the character. I hope he pops in now and then. Perhaps you should create some other characters too.

I love how you keep the show fresh and new. Thanks Gary.

QOTD: 98% Red 2% white, though I am trying to explore whites because of WLTV.

NICE!!! That guy had some good insight! He did slip out of character a few times though. But as always, now we want more. How about next time you do a Aussie wine guy or a hippie Mendicino wine dude. How about a “keepin’ it real” episode like that once a week? qod. 90 red-10 white

Fabuolous ep! Love Sir Gary!! Variety is the spice of life. Would like to see him back again, but I so miss GARY he is the go to guy!!! Any other special friends lurking in the closet???? Can’t wait to see more, but GV come back PLEASE!!!

QOTD: Have to agree with Sir Gary…99% RED 1% White (only if they are serving a Tocia)!

Hope you enjoyed your time off!! You rock!

And here I always thought Sir Gary would have a goatee, but I guess that’s just me.

Careful, that second wine was so good you sounded a bit like someone else we know.

QOD: around 55/40/5, but then I like to go the white-then-red route a lot, and I forgot to stock up on decent rose before summer came. But it’s okay, tomorrow is Thai night so we can experiment with Chablis and Muscadet and other interesting things.

I can only hope that “Sir Gary” can find the nearest bridge and jump off it. Will the real GV please stand up!

    QOTD: 60/40 white/red in the summer & 40/60 red/white in the winter

  24. July 27, 2007

    life's too short...

“…like Italy in the country time.” LOL. Nicely done, Dad. Shooting crows on the weekend. Too funny. Rowing the boat in the Himalayas (one way, I’m guessing). And a “pipe smoker” too, eh? Excellent. Pipe. Laughing. Out. Loudly. As I am wont to do during the Thunder Show. QOTD: 99%:1% about right. . .
