He shouldn't be forced to be a martyr for his pro-tasting notes view as many customers like points info. I'm sure my fellow Vayniacs have also found that Gary doesn't provide a score to say that people should buy a wine based on that, just that the wine critics have tasted a lot of wine in the category at hand and many, many others, so they can often make informed recommendations if you are aware of their preferences. After giving detailed tasting notes, points are a good concise way of summarising the overall quality. If people find that points are a good frame of reference, best to include them.
