    Top 10!!!1 Whoohooo!
    (Not).
Great topic. Interesting idea. Any others that look kinda the same (other than having cute Aussie animals on them?)

By the way – - what are those Thundercats doing on your table? I know “why” they’re there – just wondering what they are doing. They look like they are trying to make more Thundercats.

intro’s are great. wines sounded spectacular also. overall a great way to end the week. glad you explained the punt so thoroughly. QOTD: my buddy’s classroom across the hall is almost a spitting image of mine. But he teaches higher level classes so he’s always much more calm and relaxed and his room is clean at the end of the day.

Nice job on the tastings today!

QOTD: my VISA statement and my wine cellar. The both are full of wine purchases but one hurts and one helps. :-)

    Hi,

Fresh episode… finally.. just have to wait for it to download.. Question? How can you become a fan of California wines when your “local” monopoly wine distributor has about 10 different California wines to offer(locally)… I’m just going insane here in Finland… Dam.. Gary, if i ever get to visit U.S.of.A you’d better invite me to a proper wine tasting…or something… :)
Too bad thundercats have been extinct in Finland.. Ps: i’d pay for one of those wristbands. From your GGGrazy fan from Finland.. All the best Gary!!!

I really liked LARS “holy buckets!” him and Sir Gary could rate some wines really well as a tag team.

Super annoying intro, but I love that Grand Cru Burgundy glass. My favorite stem of all time.

It looks like both of these wines are going for that whole Sine qua Non or Bridesmaid Winery kind of label feel. Very new school, modern style.

As for wine storage, we’re using a Vino-Temp “E-Line” (Economy Line) wine locker with a WineMate compressor. It’s pretty decent, but the wire racking inside serves to scrape the labels off bigger bottles like Burgundies and fat US Syrahs. Forget about Pax and Sea Smoke . . . they won’t even squeeze into the racking. The compressor is top-mounted so cool air falls from the top down. Wine in the upper 33% of the locker stay several degrees cooler than those at the bottom. If I had to do it over again, I would get a shelving system made from wood that can support bigger bottles, sparkling wines, and larger format bottles.

    QOTD:
Let me go get baked and ponder that question.

Best of luck judging in Idaho. I’d love to hear what you think of their wines. In my opibin Idaho wines aren’t quite there yet. Seems like they need to grow Tempranillo as the climate in Southern Idaho looks so similar to Spain.
