Probably the second comment I have left on this episode. I have tried dolcetto since. I enjoy Di Dogliani best up to now. They tend to be more robust which I enjoy. I’ve had a Vigna del Pilone 2003 and 2005 and the Contrevent di Alba 2005. Tonight, I am drinking a Pecchenino Siri D’Jermu 2005. Awesome stuff! Thank you Gary!

Ha ha ha… When you hate a former Jet, you REALLY hate a former Jet. Ive always hated the bugger, so there you go. Got to have the love for my Hawks always and forever. QOTD: Never had one, but this episode has inspired me to buy a bottle at the wine shop the next time I make spaghetti. Me, with a little bit of you…….. I had my doctorâ€™s appointment yesterday. Iâ€™m doing fine. My dietâ€™s over. Iâ€™m drinking wine again. Iâ€™m having my first delcetto ever. Itâ€™s 2006 lo Zoccolaio Delcetto dâ€™Alba. Iâ€™m liking it. Thanks Gary. Itâ€™s taking me back to an earlier time I canâ€™t identify. To me this is real red wine. I need to try some more delcettos.

You mentioned rose aspect in wine, one of my favorite whites, Kim Crawford 06′ Marlborough Sauv. Blanc after breathing for 2-2.5 hours was strait rose pedal on the bouquet. I’ve been looking for that in a lot of wine i buy. great with duck for some reason.

Gary, I love Dolcetto as well, it always seems to have great balance and character. The QOTD is hard to answer(Italian wine names are difficult to remember) but I really enjoyed the Altare that we had with my wife’s beef stroganoff a few nights ago. Congratulations on your very well deserved success.
