I am super pumped GV!!!!! Congrats and thanks for letting us be a part of the process….this will be an amazing experience for everyone out there and I can’t wait to get my hands on some bottles of Vayniac Cabernet….although I did like Vaynernet Sauvingnon! What a revolutionary way to “change the wine world.” Definitely living up to your promises!

Well, it is better than the show ending …

A lot will be riding on whether the wine will ultimately be good or not.

    Cabernet Vayneraugn?
    Vaynernet Sauvignon?

It would be old world -new world – smelly cheese and sweaty socks mixed with strawberry licorice and cool-aid; cedar box and tobacco mixed with chocolate covered cherries and skittles.

    Could be interesting.

    btw – woohooo – top 500!

Nothing to add but more props! You might need to set a limit on purchases GV, in order to insure that all us thirsty savages are quenched.

    Hello Gary,

I have been a lurker. Sorry, but true. I have however, enjoyed your show and enthusiasm tremendously. I collect wine, have attended wine schools, have several certificates and constantly strive to learn more, but this is an actual opportunity that I am excited about. I live in Kentucky and this will provide an insiders view I have hoped for. I am looking forward to being a part. Thanks.

Gary, thank you very much for getting people to go “behind the bottle” and see what it’s really like to pour your heart and soul (not to mention the wee hours of the early morning!) into a new vintage of wine.

Hey, if you’re looking for a great Cali Albarino, check out Bokisch Vineyards! They are serious Spain-o-philes, completely specializing in Spannish varietals. They’re so serious, they also own property in the Rias Biaxas in Spain!

I’m waiting for the link to buy a bottle or two of your wine. I’m signing up!!!

    Gary -
OK After watching the past 30 episodes or so, I am beginning to understand what you are up to with your wine podcast. I am now coming out of gthe “lurker’s closet” and admitting that I watch and enjoy your show. I even ordered some of the wines you have recently reviewed.

Hello, my name is Eric and I am a Vayniac……

    Therapy begins soon!

    Eric from CA

PS Why not review some El Dorado County/Fairplay zins. They grow them pretty good up here! (Lava Cap, Single Leaf, Perry Creek)

Thanks Gary! The Vayniac Cab is a great idea, just fantastic! It should be a great adventure and, especially with those great Napa grapes, should last a lifetime. Cheers!

[...] Wine Library TV Goes Social – Gary really understands embracing the internet. First, for those who don’t know he’s for wine what Jim Cramer is for stocks. He’s passionate, he’s enthusiastic, he’s not a wine snob, he’s real, and he can communicate to the noob wine drinker as well as the true wine experts out there. Not only did he purchase social wine site corkd.com(one of the best looking sites on the web) to expand his winelibrary empire (representing NJ mind you), Gary recently appeared on Conan, was covered in Time magazine, and just yesterday unveiled his new idea — a community supported Wine. Huh? Well, you can work the crush, go through the barrel sampling, and buy the wine and work into the blending phase, design the label contest, and eventually get down and party. From one bottle to 100 cases…it can be your wine. Interesting idea Gary…very interesting. [...]

This is a great idea! I might not make it out there to help out but I definitely want a bottle of what “we” create. Awesome. Keep up the good work and ignore those that spew negativity.

    Gary, awsome idea.
I only found WLTV about 2 weeks ago, but I still felt the thrill of the build up. Me and some friends had a little party to celebrate the announcement and it did not disspoint. Keep up the good work; please dont ever let someone else take over hosting; you’re frantic energy and enthusiasm are able to keep my fragile attention span from wandering.
