QOTD: Solomon’s Key holds a special place in my heart but I’m going to have to go new school and say Super Mario Bros. 3 since I couldn’t put it down until I beat it. Don’t forget to love that dog you tried to shoot everytime you lost in Duck Hunt.

Thank you, this is why I come here. Not to say you’re my song and dance boy but you are. So dance! Think I’m going to place my first WL order since I’ve realized that, while I can find good wine, I can’t find a lot of good wine around here. Different bottles every time, right? Thanks!

    Mr. Ambassador

Learned a few things watching today’s episode and would really like to sample the Australian cheese you’ve mentioned.

QOTD – I’m a bit more “old-school” having grown-up in the Atari (2600) generation but I did play with my little sister’s Nintendo on rare occasion; I think there was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Game we played quite often…

QOTD: Probably Super Mario 64. Never been a big Nintendo guy; just gravitated to other systems.

UQOTD: 1977 Fonseca. Not the oldest Port I’ve tasted (had a ‘63 Dow), but simply the best.

Wii toss up between Wii sports and Zelda

Gary I love the show, I don’t drink much wine, but I find your shows entertaining.

Hope to see you try some NC one day.

I’m not a really big fan of port but I love roaring forties too. It became one of our(me & my wife) favorite blue cheese.
QOTD: Hmm….I think I have to pick two. One is Final Fantasy 3 and the other one is Dragon Quest 4. I really wanted to pick baseball game but I never satiesfied with any baseball game in nintendo era.

Hey, how many of those SF Vaynerglasses do you have?

I’m gonna need to get my hands on some of that Roaring Forties Blue!

QOTD: Fav. Nintendo game of all-time (all systems) is Super Metroid, w/ Zelda (A Link to the Past) and Final Fantasy 3 being tied for second. My favorite NES game is Super Mario 2 (the one with the toad and the princess). This is a really tough question though. I was addicted to Contra for months.

Thanks for doing a Port show – and a good one at that. I’m just starting to come around to dessert wines. Though still not a huge fan of Port, I have started to appreciate well made late harvest juice. I just balk at the sweetness.

QOTD: I have to go OG Nintendo on this question and it’s a no brainer….Tecmo Bowl FOR SURE! Although….I also loved the Mega Man games.

I love Port. I am looking into getting a few bottles of the 2003 vintage. I just need to figure out where I can cellar them as I will be moving frequently.
QOTD: You put it up there…TECMO BOWL!!!!!! Be the RAIDERS, give the ball to Tim Brown or Bo Jackson and beat your opponent 77-0. Loved it.

  20. October 4, 2007

    Jon

QOTD: Contra, and anything with the Powerglove (if you didn’t get electrocuted…)

Ports are always yummy….I’m going to search out that cheese!! As for Nintendo…it’s a toss up between the Legend of Zelda or Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out.

Great… older Ports. I am there with you, they are values!

NOW that you are on a role, WHAT ABOUT MADEIRA?

QOTD: Super Mario, Duck Hunt and Gyromyte (darn, that is old!)
