Sweet! Covering some more Portuguese wine.. Port at that! I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts! I must say Port is one of the only wines I’ve NEVER complained about. I’m just starting to open up to trying new things though… one thing at a time!

QOTD: Zelda… nuff said.

And the marathon continues. I would have to say Bases Loaded was by far my favorite Nintendo game. Is it sad I have yet to try Port?

Awesome episode! I love Port. Vintage Port is not something that I have a great deal of in the cellar (need to change that). My weekday Port is any decent LBV. They are pretty nice to have celebrating the Indians trashing of the Yankees, for example. 🙂

Fav Nintendo game has to be … wow why is this like choosing a favorite child? I’m going to give two, because I suck. Zelda and Mike Tyson’s punch out. Good stuff maynard.

They should just make a Wine Download page, where you could directly download all the wines featured on the site straight to your kitchen. Like Wonkavision. Except not.

Had some Port for the first time today, after a Christmas meal with my extended family. I had no idea it was SOOO sweet…I love it though, it’s so thick and complex. I had a very young 2005 Warre’s, I think, and while it clearly had alcohol in it, it worked very well with the flavors and was a lot easier to drink than some weaker drinks I’ve had in the past. Very nice, though I wouldn’t ever have a lot of it….too sickly!

QOTD: I never had a NES as a kid, however of the games I played, I’d say the original Super Mario Bros. The later ones were too hard!

QOTD: Well, my parents didn’t let me get Nintendo – but I always went over to my buddies house to play NHL Hockey. I’d always make my team really slow and fat…so much fun!

Awesome episode Gary! I was wondering if there was a Port WLTV episode in the archives! I might have to pick up the 1994 Dow’s – I’ve been looking into picking up a bottle of vintage (after making my way through Tawnys, Rubys and LBVs) and this is a bottle that is quite available locally.

QOTD – Super Mario Bros. 3. No and ifs or buts about it.

I am Portuguese, and Port wine has always been present in special occasions or just for a different finish for ordinary days.

My father had saved a Vintage bottle from 81 (but don’t remember the producer) but never had the chance to try it because he passed away. On the Christmas eve of 2006, one year after is death, me and my family opened the bottle and drank in his memory. I can tell you that it was one of the best experience my nose and tongue ever experienced, along with the warmth created along your body.

It was a great bottle to celebrate a great life, Port will ever have a special meaning to us!

Hey, you have to taste Port(o) with some good creamy portuguese cheese for Serra da Estrela (mix goat, sheep and cow milk). I tell you that you will never forget!

QOTD: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III

QOTD: This is a great question, especially for those in our generation. A tough one though… RC Pro Am perhaps, Excitebike was pretty cool, but I think I have to go with NHLPA Hockey, where you could make your own players, and the Buffalo Sabres (my team!) always won because I stacked the team with the homemade guys, who were always faster, tougher, and more accurate than any of the real players. Oh man, that was fun. I’m pining for childhood now.

I LOVE port. Just love it. Every time im out to a nice dinner and port is on the menu I try to have a nice 20 year or so. Ive never had a vintage yet but I keep looking at the 1994 Dows in my wine shop and wondering. Im also looking over a half bottle of 1978 port from the year I was born. Im sold now and am going to buy both in the very near future. QOTD: This is probably the most unfair question youve ever asked on the show because I could name 50 games if you gave me 15 minutes…. But off the top of my head the original Zelda and the first 4 Mega Man games really bring it to me. But then youve got Tecmo Bowl sitting there which I LOVED as a kid….

By far.. Tecmo Superbowl, followed closely by Super Mario Bros 3 (which I now relive on the Wii)… How do I score one of those wristbands?

QOTD: Never much liked video games. I prefer good old-fashioned board games. The only game I can even think of is Super Mario Brothers. Just too much of a geek, I guess.
