QOTD: Hot drinks, like Red Bush tea, NZ Manuka honey in warm water. Like RZA says in Coffee & Cigarettes: lay off the dairy products, chill the citric acid!

    Get well soon GV!
QOTD: whiskey – in fact a great single malt scotch, neat, is best.

QOTD: Watermelon Gatoraid. It is very hard to find in anything other than the little single-serve bottles, but when I can find it I’m all over that stuff. It is like a liquefied watermelon Jolly Rancher with electrolytes to keep my body in perfect balance.

    NO EXCUSES!!

QOTD: Hot and Sour soup. EXTRA HOT!!!

Hope you’re feeling better, as I’m a week behind I’m sure you’re fine now! Have a great weekend!

QOTD (a little late): Whiskey, Tea or Coke. I also drink a lot of Airborne—but not because it tastes good.

Know you are all better now, but I like echinacea tea, w/lemon and honey. Sprite (and not diet when I’m sick) and lots of OJ and Cranberry juice.
But for soup, I can’t do bland soup, chicken noodle makes me feel gross. If I have chicken noodle I pour some salsa in there for a kick. And a bunch of jalepenos. Tom kha w/schirraca, or pad thai. Seems weird…but I really want spicey food when I’m sick.
Glad you are all good now!

Gary-Sorry you are not feeling well.I hope you get better soon! I have had about 6 colds in the last 6 weeks! Yuk! QOTD: Twinnings darjeeling tea, with honey and about one ounce of bicardi rum. :)

Gary, It seems strange that you would be sick. :( I’ll bet it takes alot to get you down. It didn’t have anything to do with the Jets losing to the Benagsl did it? That’s enough to make you sick. I hope you are soon back on your feet. We’ll miss you.
QOD: Depending on where it hurts, homemade chicken soup or hot lemon tea with honey.

    QOTH: HOT TODDY’s

They have completely saved me, especially on a cold night.. Jameson, Hot Tea, Lemon, Cayenne Pepper, Honey, Clove.
Burns the congestion, tension and leaves you warm and relaxed.
    Feel Better.

Get well soon Gary. It was sweet of you to let everybody look at you even though you’re under the weather. Chicken soup with lots of garlic. 7-Up or ginger ale. Water if you can stomach it.
Don’t like gatorade or tea otherwise I might recommend those but I hate them.If I’m not on medication a little alcohol of some kind to let me get some zzzzzzz’s.

  18. October 23, 2007

    Get well Gary.

I like hot tea with honey… preferably made by my wife so I can stay in front of the TV watching Back to the Future.

  19. October 23, 2007

    Ole Ole

Anything herbal or salty and hot, and NO alcohol. Chamomile with local honey, chicken soup galore, and if available some of this cool blend tea with echinacea.

In fact all this is so envigorating, I wonder why I don’t drink this when I’m not sick. And it’s lots cheaper than wine, hmmm… Oh my, you/we ARE changing the wine world.
